I'd hope they use his demi god, son of argus story line from MKA, especially if there covering the events of MKA in this game.

Well, his ending had him be shown where he came from and uses the whole "I'm Argus's bastard child, bow down to me" in hoping he can claim realms with his armies.

Since his character is all about being arrogant and such, who would try to use that god like aspect to their advantage?

Yooo that would be SICK! Little stuff like that is what gives the characters personalities. Kinda reminds me of Cassie's gum at the end of her fatality. Unnecessary really but hilarious.
I really think a whip-wielding lady is long overdue in MK. I made a sketch in the past with a new look for Nitara where she also used a whip. Where is that thing? I need to find it :P

Rain, unlike other characters doesnt need to carry a whip as a weapon. HE CONTROLS WATER!! The water whip weapon can be summoned and used as part of combos. Much like Noobs shadow or subzeros ice weapons.

He could also benefit with having some special moves that apply a bit more pressure. Summoning quick, but forceful tides from where he's standing across the ground to attack the enemies legs (kinda like Reptile and Subbie's slide except the wave itself acts like a footsie) could be useful as a combo starter, the enhanced version causing knockback.

A geyser effect/temporary wall of water would be handy as well for neutralising projectiles. And as for his actual martial arts, maybe they could introduce certain animations for combo enders where he could utilise his powers? Like ending a double kick combo with a watery version of Rain knocking them down with a jump kick?

He's one of the only fighters where your imagination could run wild with ideas. I love that about him, especially since he's the only hydrokinetic on the roster. Makes him way more appealing :)

NRS just needs to watch Avatar: The Last Airbender and then go design Rain's moveset.

Look at scorp and sub his favorite children, they are in every game, Rain is in almost none, and only made it to DLC because fans wanted it.

Well Ed Boon should understand that his "joke" character Rain has many fans. (i've seen them everywhere, facebook, other forums, Deviantart ect)

So he of all people should understand that his "joke" character isn't so much of a joke, but more on the level of Ermac and Noob Saibot, which also started out as jokes.

I don't care about a couple of cruel fans that love seeing other fans being sad. I hope they burn in hell if their favorite Sub or Scorpion is left out of a game at one point in the future, Boon isn't immortal, you know...

It wouldn't matter if Boon hated Rain, if majority of fans liked Rain like they do Scorpion NRS would put Rain in no questions asked. So stop with this whole "It's all Boon's fault" shit.

Rain has great potential. I wish NRS would take advantage of that. He could bring new story lines to a few characters as well, Edenians in particular: Kitana, Jade, Sindel, Tanya, even possibly Ermac.

Rain is powerhungry and vain, not a coward. He wanted power and didn't get it from the Edenians, so that's why he sided with Shao Kahn, not because he is afraid.

And that's the most ironic part of all.

Edenians have such a great part in the overal storyline... And yet Rain is the only male Edenian so far...
