Rain was also the first ninja, he's older than all others.

One of Rain's variations should allow him to use a "Water Whip" like AquaLad has in Young Justice, and Katara has in The Last Airbender.

Ahhh anything with a Whip-Weapon would have my love! But water-whips are an awesome idea!

This is an awesome idea. Dam, now I am going to be slightly disappointed if I dont see this..

Whips in fighting games are so rare. We have Sofia from Toshinden, and then Jeanne from World Warriors and Ivy from Soul Calibur with their whip-swords... And of course Catwoman.

I don't think a whip fits Rain, even if made of water. I liked his focused hydro-blade from his fatality alot better. Had hoped he'd have that in some moves too.

However, a character with a whip would be awesome!

Tanya would be a prime candidate for one I would think. I think that would be a great weapon for her to have.

1000X this please. Tanya probably gets the boomerang again, but I would love her to have a whip.

Or one of the 16 new characters can have a whip of course!

Sophia! I remember her! The whore with the whip! I really liked that personage and she made me love whip weapons! (ohhh forgot the x-men creature from the imperial guard with the red skin, Hussar or something like that, she was the first character I saw with a whip weapon)

Ehh, hydro blade doesn't really sound like a weapon I'd be afraid of. I'd rather see him wield something that has more of a fear aspect to it.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I want to see Tanya as more of a Sorceress character. Not sure how a whip would play into that... I wouldn't complain if she got a whip though, as long she utilizes it more than Catwoman did hers.

I was also disappointed in Mileena's lack of use of her sais in MK9, especialy because both Kitana and Jade used their weapons so much.

So true, now that I think about it I barely remember Mileena having them. They were very underused in that game, like they were back in MKGold.

So I am not the only one that has thought that a whip would suit Tanya perfectly.

Its easy to think of watery special moves for Rain, but its hard to think of variations. I really hope NRS thinks of the Water-Whip. haha.

What about wielding a Trident? Maybe over the 25 yrs, Rain was granted the title of Edenia's "God of The Sea" (Nah, I rather the water whip)

But I do agree that Tanya would be better suited for a Whip. I'd give her a whip AND a blade-edged boomerang. Her EX moves could add fire to them. Hmmm.... Indiana Jones + Crocodile Dundee + Sexy Edenian = Tanya!

Oh definitely! I could see a gloriously disgusting fatality of her whipping the shit out of the opponent with it. Major focus and detail on the gory wounds as each lash hits their back side, as they are on all fours in a puddle of their own blood. She then walks over to them, slowly and seductive, and then strangles them as they struggle to get loose. As soon as their body goes limp, she gives them a kiss on the cheek and steps away.


FATALITY!

The Kobu Jutsu are really nice weapons though. I would like Tanya to use them in MKX.

Agreed. They were a thousand times more awesome than the boomerang.

Also, Kobu Jutsu is the fighting style, but the weapons are called Tonfa/Elbow Blades. Kobujutsu teaches how to use various weapons. ^^

Hehe, seems like you see Tanya as more of a dominatrix character than a sorceress. I like both kinds, so I wouldn't mind either.

The thing about it Jaded, I have absolutely NO idea where that's coming from lol Like I have never seen her like that. I guess all this talk about whips is getting my mind racing.

Anyway, I do hope her gameplay is more of a sorceress, that's something that has been downplayed ever since she's appeared. I actually would like to see her have a very "graceful" type of gameplay. I've always seen Tanya as more of person who will fight when NEED too but isn't the type to go beat the crap out of everyone for kicks. So her having a gameplay style that alludes poise would be welcomed and would also tie into her being a sorceress.

So a variation for Sorceress and another for Dominatrix. :P

Considering he's Half-God and he was raised by an Edenian General I can see him making making a claim to rule Outworld.

I would love Tanya to have some horrible evil illusion fatality.

Like she uses her illusion powers to fake the death of the victim by making him melt with magic, but its just an illusion (but like the illusions of Mastermind from x-men, they are really real and you can feel the fake pain) and after the victim is releaved it was just an illusion (looking at his hands with a big smile), Tanya strikes from behind, doing something really horrid to the neck or back of the victim. + the breaking bone kiss fatality, I just love it so much.

Rains fatalities, well maybe something with the blood of the victim (as that is pretty much just red water), he drains them of all blood, turns the blood into a monster with a huge maw that bites the drained victim in half. The other fatality can be something else with water, but not as stupid as the second fatality of MK9 rain with the breaking legs...

This. Even more of a reason to own it!
