I can't speak for everyone, but I'm not against Scorpion for the sake of an unpredictable outcome.

I'm against him because despite his being highly glorified, he does not deserve to win.

He hasn't grown at all as a character since MK2. It's been one revenge story after another. His fighting style has been stale until MK2011, when it was only slightly interesting, to me at least.

It is my most honest opinion that the only reason Scorpion is plastered in front of us as often as he is, is because he is Boon's favorite character, and if it wasn't for that, Scorpion would probably have been left alone a long time ago.

I'll be honest, despite Sub-Zero being one of my top 10 favorite characters, I don't want him to win.

However, it's not that his winning would be predictable, but it would be hollow. If the same character is always winning, they lose value. I like Subby, so I want him to stay cool (pun TOTALLY intended).

I know the love of my MK life Quan Chi isn't going to win this, so I'm rooting for Kitana. Hopefully she'll take the crown (pun also TOTALLY intended).

That's not my point. My point is this is supposed to be a Supreme Contest or whatever. In the end it SHOULD be a popularity contest. It SHOULD be Sub-Zero/Scorpion. The two most iconic characters in the end, regardless of what people think about their stories etc. Its just like Street Fighter, Ken/Ryu.

In the end nothing matters, its just gives us something to talk about on the internet while we are 'working'. They are all fictional characters and for people to get SO UPSET over it is beyond me. I love MK and I'm totally into this whole Tourney thing, but end the end, Sub-Zero/Scorpion will ALWAYS be the face of this franchise

Part of the reason, he is epically developed in the last few games. In the begining he was completely irrelevant "bonus" clone, later he became barely relevant henchmen and finally big revelation came and Noob become the character with one of the best (if not the best) backstories in the series. And while he still somewhat of a minor villain character he certainly have potential and powers to become a power to be afraid of. MK9 certainly helped by giving him viallnous personality, though I am dislike how MKM part of his story wasn't made more relevant, because Quan Chi presence at the tournament.

I don't understand people who think that making Noob - Sub Sr. "destroyed" character or made him less. Noob was essentially a blank state before being changed into Bi Han. Random shadow ninja without story or personality. By turning him into Bi Han, Midway killed two hares with one shot - they made Noob interesting character and they brought back Bi-Han, who some people actually liked.

Scorpion periodically made attempts to break out of his "revenge story", but in the end he always returned to it for one reason or another. Love of fans certainly choked the hell out of his potential development, since many people think that Scorpion = Revenge, no subtitutes accepted.

Another part of the reason, why I am voting for the Noob, is because I want this voting to be interesting and at least somewhat unpredictable. Scorpion vs Sub-Zero is too obvious and boring final. Though with the way how the poll was setup this result was obvious from the begining.

And no, voting to another character just to take down character your don't want to procced, is not immature. It's immature to whine about it as if it is some horrible crime. And besides people want fun. Predicatble voting results - are not fun at all.

Tough one.... came down to the fact that I've always taken to Noob more than Scorpion. MK2011 made it tough because I feel like they gave Scorpion the right treatment finally. I would've voted Scorpion but, Noob Saibot is also awesome in MK2011.

I would like to point out that although he was a random character in MK2, come MKT it was obvious they were toying with the idea to make him Sub-Zero. Around the time of MKT they were making

/MK4. In Noob's ending they mention Shinnok, in MKM Bi-Han is foiling Shinnok, and in MK4 he had Sub-Zero's fatalities for somereason...

Noob is everybit as iconic as Scorpion because Sub-Zero is everybit as iconic as Scorpion, and Noob is the original Sub-Zero that started it all.

Also Noob and Scorpion are the only ones to be included in all of the MK fighting games (storywise).

People forget that Noob was in MKDA handheld version, an that he killed Goro...something that was cannonly aknowledged in MKD.

No one is voting against Scorpion, just because the general public knows Scorpion from the 90s doesn't mean he's better than Noob. Just because Ed Boon has a boner for him doesn't mean he's better than Noob. Of course that doesn't mean Noob is better either it's just a matter of preference.

I'm voting for Noob. In general I like the Brotherhood of Shadow characters and wished they focused on that aspect a bit more in the storyline. Also Scorpion didn't really leave an impression on me in the latest game in story or gameplay although I did love his Nether Gate fatality and his alt is really good.

Noob just trumps him to me, in gameplay, and story presentation although I suppose he looks a bit boring.
