I voted for Kano because.....well he's Kano.

Also since both my favorites Cyrax and Drahmin were eliminated....my goal now is to make sure Sub-Zero or Scorpion do not win.

I hate Kano, he is such a cheap character in MK9. The only times I liked him was the first MK, and the movie. And the movie Kano was my all-time favorite representation of Kano. May God bless his soul.

Alright, Sonya. While I love them both, it's been a slow burn for Kano that only started in D:A, whereas I've loved Sonya from day 1. May she beat that stupid yellow ninja!!!

I voted for Sonya. I prefered Kano until MK3.
I really started to like Sonya when MK4 was released.

Oh, Noob is so much more of an awesome character than Subbie. Kuai Liang is the better Subbie, imo, but that's because Bi Han as Noob is just so much more fulfilling and he not only have so much better story potential, but his overall appearance and gameplay is so much more fun than Subbie.

BTW, this is not including the cyber Subbie verson whom I of course hold very dear. ^^

Bi-Han was stronger than Kuai, but Kuai gets the badass card for making a demand from Shao Khan and actually gets what he wanted. So Kuai definitely replaced Bi-Han for me. But Noob is badass too.

I'm voting Scorp tomorrow. He is my favorite ninja.

BUT I don't want any ninjas in the last round. Johnny Cage, Raiden, Liu Kang, Sonya, anybody but the ninjas.

As most will know i totally love Kuai Liang, been my most fav character ever created in any entertainment medium, so my vote will always be for him. I just really don't see why people bag on Sub and Scorp as the poster boys. Without them MK would not be were it is. No matter how much you guys might want to argue the "ninjas" are what most people like and think of when they think MK, not drahmin or the rest of the nobodies. My only wish is for NRS to continue to develop there world, and characters so we see more of what makes the kombatants tick.

@ jaded-raven i agree with you that Kuai is the better Sub, he made the character his own, and Bi han is just awesome as Noob-Saibot, but i cannot agree with the cyber thing, not just because he is my fav character, but i felt like it was just a cheap thing to do "oh smoke is not a robot well someone needs to fill the role" we both know he will return as a human next game its the Ryu, Ken thing. You cant just drastically change the "main characters".

Anyways i voted Sonya :)

Not only that, but you take away Sub-Zero and Scorpion (especially Sub-Zero) and think about all the other characters who suddenly disappear. Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor, Quan Chi, Shinnok, Sareena, Tremor, Frost, Noob Saibot. Maybe all the ninja palette swaps who went on to develop a more unique look and story (Rain, Ermac, Chameleon, Reptile) don't get created either.

They're the pillars of the franchise. I'm not saying everybody has to like them, but they deserve the attention and accolades. It should come down to those two because of all they've done for the franchise. No other character(s) have done as much. (Which isn't to to say anyone's favorite is worthless, you like who you like)

exactly the ninjas who over the years came into there own, is what most people come for, and what most fans like. I am sure more people will like Sub-Zero and Smoke over Kai, moloch... etc. Most people tend to forget were it all started, without Sub, and Scorp you would not have all the MK that came after.

Sonya has been one of the few oldschool characters that has had an extremely weak moveset until MK9.

She's finally fluent, and has a defined and refined fighting style. Prior to MK9, though, her moveset was uninspired and downright boring, aside from her leg-grab.

Kano has pretty much been awesome all around.

I dont think this tournament says much about characters' general popularity. Of course it would come down to those two no matter how popular others are. Sektor beat Raiden in the last one, Jade beat Mileena in this one. Do you really think ppl who arent voting on this thing, generally prefer them? If by any case Scorp and Subbie dont reach the finals it will be becoz haters will vote against them no matter who they are facing...that's plain logic. And i dont even like the ninjas!

Yeah people would do that 100%, but its all good, should be interesting to see how it plays out.
