To be honest with you, Diane, I voted Noob Saibot for the sole purpose of hurting the feelings of Scorpion fans.

On a serious note, I voted Noob Saibot even though I sort of like Scorpion better. However, my interest in Scorpion is so shallow it only goes a little bit farther than how tight his pants are around the ass region in MK9. I mean... For a dead guy... That's quite an ass. I don't care about Noob one way or the other, but when I really thought about it, I realized I really liked his whole style in MK9, even without firm buttocks. Love the shadows, love the portals, so much tricky fuckery, it's great. Also, I'm hoping for someone to make a really big deal about Scorpion losing to make Mileena fans look good by comparison, hehehehehehehe.....

no the purpose of voting in a contest like this, is to determine the most popular/liked character. instead of giving a legit vote you vote for the opposite character regardless of who they are. its not just scorp. i seen it happen to mileena and other chars.

I just really REALLY dislike Scorpion, so it is a relief for me to see him lose this round. I do not take offense in people disliking or even hating my favourite character, and if people wish to vote against Jade because they don't like her, then that is totally fair, because it has absolutely nothing personal to do with me. No no. I meant characters with larger fan bases in relation to the characters that lost in the last round. You know, Kung Lao has a lot more fans than Kobra. I was generalizing. I wasn't really speaking to how much fans on MKO like Scoprion versus Noob.

Yes, Scorpion is a very popular character. That doesn't mean that everyone on this website has the same criteria for voting though. I personally don't take popularity in to account at all. I don't care how iconic a character is because honestly, some characters have the advantage of being in several games while other characters have only been in maybe one or two games.

I try to look at a character and see not only what they are (their moves, combos, background, story throughout the series), but what they have the potential to be (where their story can go, what their look, weapons, moves, feuds with others etc could lead to in the future for them etc).

With this logic, I like the potential that I see in characters like Kira, Sareena, Jade, Noob, etc, even if some of the characters that I've voted for haven't been as well developed or have had as much time to grow as the characters in MK1.

You have your criteria, I have mine. Just because you like Scorpion, doesn't mean I have to. Just like my liking Baraka doesn't mean that you should have to vote him to the finals. My preference of Noob's look, growth throughout the series, background, story potential, signature style over Scorpion doesn't mean that I hate Scorpion or want to band together with other like-minded people in order to get people to hate on Scorpion.

I REALLY don't care that much to do something like that and I think it'd be a crappy thing to do to fans of a character. Apparently, the guy that PM'd me and told me vote for Scorpion doesn't see that my way.

I kinda feel the same way. I don't care for Ryu at all! But Ken is charismatic and has a nice story behind him where as Ryu seems stale and boring to me. That said, I'm not a big fan of any of the "shotoclones", but Ryu is definately on the bottom of my list while Ken ranks a little higher.

Noob Saibot aka Bi-Han:
-defeated scorpion twice(as a human[spine ripped] and later as a specter[ordinary subby ass whoppin'] before MK1 even began during MK mythologies

-When Raiden forced him to go to the Netherrealm to retrieve the sacred Amulet he had given to Quan Chi in order to save Earthrealm, this created a rivalry between Bi-Han and Quan Chi. Quan Chi later fooled the dumbass scorpion to fight his battles for him.

-He also got under Shinnock's skin by stealing the Amulet from him, even tho it was a fake. And that's kind of cool that this guy was able to snag a "precious" artifact from an Elder God.

-After death, became even more powerful and I like how stealthy he was during the MK1-MK4. I always wanted to know more about this guy.

-Killed Goro, something Lui Kang didn't even do in MK1 or MK4

-Acted as a double agent by serving one master after another even tho he had his own intentions

-Made robot smoke his bitch lol, I actually hated that idea, and created his own fucking army of demons...WOW

-And now in MK 2011 he has ties with one of my favorites of the 3D MK era, Fucking Havok man! I like this because I have grown tired of Earthrealm, Outworld, Edenia, and kind of the Netherrealm. Let's hear more on the realm of Chaos, the Orderrealm, Nitara's realm, and Reptile's destroyed home world (I forget the name)...

-Last but definitely not least, he has a homeboy who sticks with him no matter what. When you see Noob, you better believe that you will see him, even in a victory pose lololol. Scorpion aka Hanzo Hasashi:
-Is a very persistent character I like that in him. He finally killed Bi-Han, I don't know how but Hey congrats! Will stop at nothing to kill Quan Chi. He sort of reminds me of Jason, Freddy Kruger, and Michael Myers from the horror movies, he just KEEPS COMING BACK.

-Not my favorite character but I will be pissed to not see him in the next MK. Yes I am a MK ninja fanatic, I have been since MK1. Still upset that Chamelon and Khameleon are absent although they are clone characters who borrow moves from other ninjas, so it's understandable

-Even tho he is all about revenge, HE STILL HAS POTENTIAL. Just ask the Elder Gods during the period of MK:DA-MK-D. I also think it's just the fans who believe that seeing Scorpion at his best is seeing him beefing with Sub-Zero1&2. Which really makes him look like a dumbass because he is upset over lies feed to him by Quan Chi. I mean he was even pissed at Bi-Han for killing him in cold blood by spine ripping him as if he didn't know that the Lin Kuei and Shira Ryu were big time rivals. I VOTE THE NOOBSTER (SAIBOT'S EVIL LAUGH)
