Now I don't hate Scorpion or Sub-Zero, but the last time we had a vote for the ultimate champion last year before MK9 released......Sub-Zero won.

So I'm voting Noob, because I really liked his move-set and just his overall appearance in the game.

I voted Noob. He and Sub Zero are my favorites and the legacy they have is unmatched.

While Scorpion was constantly thrown in front of gamers to remain noticed, Noob Saibot actually had to earn his fandom.

Scorpion has become repetitive and boring over the years, while little by little Noob Saibot has grown to be a fun playable character with a great story. I'll vote for Mr. Saibot, thank you.

I will be a happy turkey if Noob wins.

Noob Saibot definitely deserves this win. MK9 was his biggest shine, he was finally mastered properly by NRS, beautiful moveset, the GORIEST fatalitys, and even in storymode he had one of the most interesting background story which finally connected right. Also to be a semi-joke character via name usage since the beginning he's by far the best one ever created.

Now I love me some Kitana, but if it came down to her or him dammit I may just give it to him because he does somewhat deserve the whole win based on how he's evolved.

Scorpion should win, he is the face of MK(on of the two most popular characters) and the logo for Netherrealm, but wont win because people will blatantly not vote for him....

I hate Scorpion, so Noob it is. Though I rolled my eyes just as hard when they went the "he's the original Sub-Zero" route in Deception. Not surprisingly, his popularity has sky rocketed since. What is the obsession with Scorpion and Sub-Zero?! They're soooo overhyped and overrated.

Since I have to vote for one, Noob is the lesser of two evils, but I really hope Sonya can pull an upset against him next round.

I know people love that "twist", but it doesn't make one lick of sense to me. Wasn't Noob Saibot always lurking in the background as a long standing Brotherhood of the Shadow and reporting back to Shinnok? So now they're saying Sub-Zero died, went to the Netherrealm, was brainwashed to serve people he had just defied and re-named Noob Saibot for some reason? I don't buy it.

They need to hire a lot more developers to rename all of the characters now in Quan Chi's army then, haha. Noob was better as his own character with no ties to Sub-Zero, imo.

But, again, I'll take him over that stupid yellow ninja...

I like both, an MK game without Scorpion would just be wierd...

But hes been stagnant for a while now, where as Noob gets better with every game appearance.

They always win everything, so him not winning one little contest on a forum isn't going to unwind the fabric of time and space.

Obviously I voted for Noob. He has a better story. He's more intelligent and sceming finally around in Deception he showed his true intentions when all of his masters were "gone". IIRC he was the secondary antagonist in Deception/Unchained. Also he is more interesting. Scorpion has the same story OVER AND OVER it gets tedious Revenge Revenge Revenge. What are you, Sasuke?

Also Kratos is another character to compare scorpion to.

On the whole I agree Scorpion should make it far in a competition like this. However, this particular matchup pits him against someone who is also very popular so I wouldn't be surprised if he lost.

Plus you have to factor in the spiteful people who aren't voting FOR Noob, but rather AGAINST Scorpion. They've been crying since this tournament was announced because they're fans of less popular characters and wanted some kind of handicap to get their favorites further along. As if this "tournament" is anything other than for fun. Scorpion is a huge part of MK and always will be.

Just so you know, the expression "noob" didn't exist back when Noob Saibot was created. Also, "noob" doesn't mean loser, it derives from the word "newbie" which means someone who is inexperienced in a certain area and is not willing to learn.

I'm voting Saibot. Not because of some rebellion. Not because you people are telling me too. I voted for him because I generally like him.

And it's only still so damn early here. At least it is for where I live. Scorpion could take this thing in the blink of an eye. I've seen it happen. If Noob ends up losing tonight, I would have no other choice than to have Scorp going to the top of this thing. All of my other favorites are eliminated. I have nothing left. Scorpion is still badass.

We'll see how this plays out.

It's not that people want to "blatantly" not vote Scorpion. A lot of people just prefer Noob's story, background, potential, growth over the years, etc. It doesn't mean that people hate Scorpion. He's one of my favorite characters. I just happen to like Noob more when all things (besides "how iconic a character is" or whatever) are considered.

That might be how YOU feel. But fur most of the people that's what it is, they just want to blatantly not vote for scorpion. Yes, Scorpion winning this whole thing would be very predictable, but it would be honest and justified. Instead, people seem to want Scorpion to lose just for the sake of having an unpredictable outcome.

I voted Scorp. He has been my favorite ninja since I first played MK. The first time I did Scorpion's spear was magical. I will never forget it.

I like Noob too but I was pissed when they revealed he was the Original Sub Zero. That really made me like him a lot less. Nevertheless, Noob is awesome.

So I won't be sad if Scorp or Noob loses as I like both. But please no ninjas in the finals. Anybody but the ninjas..

I voted for Noob. He's essentially a more bad ass Scorpion story-wise and his moveset has never been better.

You can't claim to know what people are thinking when they post and from most of what I've read, people just like Noob's story, background etc more and feel that Scorpion has become very static and unchanging. It's not just in this poll, I've been here long enough and I've heard that enough from people.

Just my opinion, but from where I'm sitting, you're still wrong. Noob doesn't roughly translate to loser. A noob, n00b or newbie has always been someone that's new at something or, at worst, not good at something, usually game or computer related. Not being good at something and being a loser are two VERY different things.

Scorpion's story may have gotten a bit stale, but I'll take his gameplay and many of his other qualities over those of just about any other character any day of the week.

Maybe you guys should all band together to get Obama out of office. Then you'd really be making a difference.
