This. Kano is one of the hottest characters for me in the franchise, just can't resist the bad boys ;)

Yikes, what a tough one! MK's original hottie versus MK's original thug. I've always liked both of them.

Kano was great in MK1. His moves were unique and his heart rip was epic. Plus they always seem to give him cool new looks with each passing game, from his black and red, completely bald look in MK3 to his new, more grizzled look, the guy just does bad right.

But I can say the same about Sonya in terms of looks. I liked her in MK1 when she didn't look all skanky, but she was sexy in MK3, solid in MK4, great (albeit slightly man-ish) in MK:DA and fantastic in MK2011 (even with the vest).

Story-wise, they both seem to be in a state of limbo and perpetual repetition. Kano supports the current bad guy and Sonya tries to catch him.

I wound up going with Sonya for a few reasons though:

-Kano never seems to get a lot in the way of moves. While Sonya had one of the most enjoyable movelists in MK2011.

-Sonya's got some potential to move on in to new directions given the way MK2011 ended. I don't see quite as much potential in Kano to break his repetitive story cycle.

-Because Queve is awesome and someone should vote for Sonya in his absence. Hope to see ya around here again sometime, man!

She is much more interesting character than Kano and have more place to story development. She has gradually developed over the course of the Old Canon from tough member of the Special Forces and into leader of the OIA. Its a pity that her rivalry with Mavado was canceled in favor of simply killing her. However, I liked that she became archnemesis of Sektor in MKA. In MK9 she was one of the most sympathetic characters, though her main design left much to be desired.

Kano became mostly useless after MK3 and I don't like that he was redeveloped into movie!Kano clone.

Kano. His heart rip fatality is legendary in the video game world. And also when i first saw him i thought he was a Terminator.

I don't like either characters enough to cast a vote. So I will just sit this one out.


However, they are both iconic MK characters and I respect them both for it.

Kano was never anything more than a generic bad guy in my opinion. So I never really liked him. Of course Sonya is a pretty generic good guy come to think of it, but what the hell I vote for Sonya.
