I'm really curious. What exactly do you like in that costume? As I said before, if it weren't got the green color, this could be any of the ninjas. I assume you are a fan of the palette swap ninja days but his reptilian look is what makes Reptile special among the rest of them. I never got the love for the generic human look for Reptile.

Im a huge Reptile fan myself, but overall i dont really care how he looks. Aw long as it isnt crappy looking like in mk4, i dont think it really matters how he looks..... And seriously there shouldnt be more yelling for human reptile when in mk9 you can get the classic reppy.... Though maybe ppl want a new human reptile look? I actually prefer cos2 alt for rep in mk9.... anyways i must say my fav reptile costume is his umk3 look. I like that look for reppy. And yeah having fake skin on to conceal his lizardness but get just a peak of it when acid spitting is kool. Plus i think that dynamic made his fatalities more interesting seeing him pull his mask off eat/acid bath the opponent. Just something about reptile concealing his true form is apart of his characters appeal. So i get why ppl want him that way..... All in all i just care if hes in or not and if he ends up in i just hope they dont change his moves too much though they probably will......

Such a cool Fatality. I hope, should Rain return, that he will make use of this "hydro blade" as part of his gameplay.

That would be awesome! I must say after seeing Subzero's revamped cryomancer variation and Raiden's gameplay. It wouldn't be out opf the realm of possibility to expect Rain to use it. I thought Rain could have used more of his abilities in combos for MK9.

Plus after this Ed Boon quote I have high expectations:

Rain is starting to look like a strong contender for MKX with every tweet.

Unless I'm missing something with how VGX statues are colored or if those colors have meaning, then I think Boon is dropping more hints about our favorite Edenian male.

I'm not so sure. As dismissive as I am regarding Rain's chances of appearing in MKX, I'm beginning to wonder. Boon is a troll, but there is a method to his madness...and using all caps for a particular word is a good indicator of something...

I wouldn't be surprised if Kano and Rain were the next reveals. Boon has also been retweeting a lot of images of Retile and Ermac lately. I definately think these two will make it into MKX as well.

He seriously has been heavily hinting on Rain, Reptile, and Ermac recently.

Although I personally wouldn't care, I think most would agree that Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac AND Rain would be overkill. Plus we still don't really know about Noob.

While Rain isn't my first pick, I'd be happy for his fans at least. It would be nice to see Rain get some development and spotlight.

While I personally would love to see Li Mei revealed at Gamescom (), I still think it's Rain Boon's hinting at.

Scorpion - revealed to be ninja
Sub-Zero - revealed to be ninja

Reptile - Leaves the ninja group, gets a totally NON-ninja outfit and will be not a ninja.

Rain - Leaves the ninja group, get a totally non-ninja outfit and will be not a ninja anymore, so not counting as ninja.

Ermac - Scarecrow is very different from ninja. But this could be the third ninja Boon talks about, as Reptile and Rain won't be ninja's anymore (hopefully)



Smoke & Noob, sorry, DLC is the place for you guys, you can join next game as all others get ressurected again.

OR Noob could be secret, and Smoke could be Enenra turning him into a non-ninja character.

Hey, having them all would be a dream come true...again. Haha. If it came down to the nitty-gritty, I just think at this point a majority are more interested in characters like Fujin, Nitara, Reiko, and Havik making a return instead of the full "ninja" roster.
