The whole "Smoke is gay and has a crush on Subbie" is just a theory! Nothing has been officially been proved, people can interpret their relationship the way they want, I think it would be cool if there was a character in MK who is a homosexual. Mortal Kombat has many various characters representing many different things, we have heroes, we have princesses, we have robots, we have black people, white people, Native Americans, we have the straight love relationship with Liu Kang and Kitana... So what is wrong with a gay character?

The relationship between Smoke and Subbie is a tight brotherhood, that was established from the start, it is even written in Smoke's bio and we've known that since MK3 where it was written in Subbie's bio, how he tried to flee from Lin Kuei with his buddy Smoke who was captured and then Subbie wanted revenge...

They are not gay lovers. We get that. But that doesn't mean people can make theories or write fanfiction about it... because, believe me, there are LOTS of fanfiction about those two.

To me, it just makes sense if Smoke would turn out to be gay. So unless the theory is disproved, that is how I will think of him. It isn't an official statement, but something I personally think would be cool. And the rest of you can think whatever you want to think, that doesn't matter to me.
Oh, and consider this... If Smoke is the Robin to Subbie's Batman, then I hope he will soon become like Nightwing - and independent character from Sub-Zero with his own agenda, his own plot and story, but still with ties to Subbie.
To those of you who don't know, before he was Nightwing, Dick Grayson was the first Robin, but he eventually stopped being Batman's sidekick and became an independent hero himself. Superman was actually the one who came up with the name Nightwing for him, as there was a hero back on Krypton who was once called the same.

His hair is a hint to a smoky wisp, not to his sexuality. It has nothing to do with his hair. That would be rather superficial to say someone is gay just because of how his hair is.

Huh. Smoke and Sub-Zero being gay? That's a new one to me. I wonder why that friendship is singled out in fan fiction and not Liu Kang and Kung Lao or some of the other buddy pairs in MK. Who knows, maybe they are.

On a side note... Wow, Raiden is getting thoroughly owned right now. It's kinda sad, really. I was hoping that he'd have a better showing than this. As much as some think he messed up the story in MK2011, I still think he's a better overall character than Bi-Han, but that's just my opinion and clearly I'm in the minority on that one. C'mon Sparky! Make the comeback!

He lost to Noob-Saibot dude, not moloch, not meat, hell not even reptile (which I think the king of puns would have put up a good fight).

I think noob could beat scorpion again and i know subby will tear that azzup. These guys have done it before: Bi-Han did twice in MK:M(in scorpion's human and wraith form) and Kuai-Liang in MK9(MK2 era).

Noob's fan base has grown to impressive heights seeing that he only had a story in MK:D, MK:A, and MK9, all tied into his original story as the elder sub zero in MK:M and MK1.

Scorpion just isn't favored(not hated upon) among 'THE TRUE MK FANS' for a number of reasons.

Yeah Scorp lost but don't forget there was a lot of Anti-Scorpion votes. Noob didn't win just because of his fanbase, it was also the Scorpion backlash. I agree that Noob has a sizeable fanbase, which is well deserved because Noob is a cool character.

But let's not pretend Noob won solely based on his fanbase.

You say anti-scorpion voters, I say people who don't favor scorpion over the next candidate. I think the so called 'anti-votes' were not a factor anyway because scorpion would have lost in round one and sub-zero would have been out as well. I do believe that there were some anti-noob saibot voters tho (scorpion fans) "vengence will be mine!" Success in winning a tournament is the true vengeance....

The anti-votes were a pretty big factor. People were that tired of him they voted against him. (Which is fine I don't criticize how anyone votes) Now had Noob won by 3-5% I would agree with you, but it was a blowout. Noob had a comfortable lead for the entire time. I don't think it's that people hate Scorpion (Though I'm sure there are some), I think it's people just don't like his overexposure and his lack of plot advancement.

Then of course you had people vote for Noob simply because they liked him more. Now perhaps it was the people that voted for Noob simply because they liked him more than Scorpion that were the majority voters.

But I'm not going to rule out that the Scorpion backlash was a contributing factor to Noob's victory.
