Ugh..I would have voted for Jade, but ugh...she was kinda bland in MK2011. Her voice was annoying too.

I never hated him. I never really cared for him, until MK9 that is. They really nailed his personality, not too mention his awesome gameplay as well.

I like Johnny Cage now, but I've always loved Jade.

First off, happy 4th of July.

Now, I'm not really trying to start a war with this, but I must say, every time I peek in here, I keep finding some ridiculous things that have been wrote.

I get that Mortal Kombat doesn't have the best writing staff and that they suck when it comes to certain aspects of the story, however, Mortal Kombat is one of those games where people actually DO enjoy the story. Sure, so many hated MK2011's story.

(I refuse to call this game 9, reason, count how many games are in the time line part of this site and you'll see my reason, and no, I don't care who argues with me or even if Netherrealm Studios counts it, I refuse to count MKvsDC as the 8th game in the actual lore.)

Anyways, there are always going to be people who will go for characters who have been around and has a story that is likeable. That is why Sub-Zero is heavily liked. He has had a story that has always changed and is always good for him, thus why I am a huge fan of him. (Not because I am obsessed with the color blue) One of the reasons why Scorpion gets a lot of crap is because he has not changed with the past 20 years of his existence. His story has basically stayed the same per game he's shown his fake face in.

No one has to agree with me on anything of this, but people shouldn't be like, "I can't stand it when people choose story to like in a fighting game." You know, there has to be some kind of purpose for having all these characters fight. Street Fighter may not have any kind of heavy story, but there are stories that follows characters. Such as the whole Cammy/Chun Li/Juri rivalry. There's a story behind that.

As much as you disagree about liking a character just for their story, they can turn around and say how much they dislike a character just because they were in the game or whatever. People choose to like who they want and why the like them. Not everyone has to agree, but at least don't make it seem that people who do actually like characters for their stories is a bad thing to judge a character, as well as those who likes a character just because and making it seem like its a bad thing. We all have opinions, no one has to agree with anything, (I mean, look at me, I'll refuse to accept anyone who wants Create a Fighter back into the game because that's just my opinion) And I'm not trying to make it seem that "Ohmigosh, it's my opinion, respect the fucking crap out of it!" No, but at least have some respect that, "Hey, this is why I choose to like/dislike it, you don't have to agree with me, but don't be a dick about it."

That's just my intake, don't judge me, I've only had 3 hours of sleep. Oh, and I vote for Johnny Cage.

Tough one, but I'm voting for Johnny Cage. Up until MK2011 I preferred Jade, but I just can't get myself to like her in the latest game. In fact, I find her slightly annoying. On the other hand, Johnny has never been better. Also, his special moves are more memorable and Johnny was great in the first MK film. I just think he brings more to the table.

I miss the beautiful MK:D Jade. But even that Jade wasn't as brilliant as Johnny is in MK2011.

Never really cared for either though i did like Jade's design in MKD. Cage is one of the characters i always thought was a waste of space but MK9 proved me wrong! His gameplay, his attitude, his charisma, even his tattoo which i initially thought was stupid has grown on me. And if they decide to make his ending canon that will be amazing! Finally sth fresh for him. Plus Jade got to this round becoz of all the Mileena haters here so that's the furthest she deserves to go :P So my vote goes to Cage

Does anyone think Sonya could pull out an upset and win this? I really hope so, she never gets the recognition she deserves. Hopefully there are other fans who are tired of how this usually goes...

I use to hate Johnny Cage because of his massive ego but its grown on me now hes one of my favourite characters

Jade was one of the ones that was given a pretty good update with her moveset, yet still maintaining her MKT moves as well. I thought she was amazing and I'm still pissed that Cage's Rising Uppercut move hasn't resurfaced CORRECTLY YET, that was one really missed move that on NRS's part should've been there, and a flip kick don't make up for it!

I like Jade, shes a strong independent black woman, who don't need no man.

But J.Cs my favourite character I hope he can win the entire competition.

If Kung Lao loses, then I hope Johnny takes this thing. Both are great characters and the best part is they aren't ninjas!

I'm hoping Jade will pull another come from behind victory like she did with Mileena.

I've always liked Johnny Cage as a character but I've never enjoyed playing with him like I have with Jade.

I used her quite a bit in UMK3 and she was my main in MKD and she's my go to tag partner for Kitana in MK9. Jade is just one of my favorite characters and my post MKD pre MKA hope was that she'd replace Kitana as the go to female assassin of the series. That obviously didn't happen and she got her stomach ripped out but a man can dream.
