I find it odd that people are expecting hardcore MK fans to feel the same way about Scorpion that the general public feels.

Thanks, I do remember, but you're just speculating. UMK3 could just as easily have been made because Midway wanted more money from their big time franchise and saw the same opportunity that Capcom had been taking advantage of for years with their upgrade iterations.

I doubt that it was because ravenous Scorpion fans were storming Midway headquarters in Chicago, demanding his reappearance. Reptile, Milleena, and other characters were also brought back too, ya know.

Never played it. I was only 2 when the original MK came out.

When I became 6 my brother began playing MK2,3, and trilogy. I still have my playstation version of MK:trilogy today. So, I never did play Mk1.

I have now of course, but I hadn't then. I grew up with Kuai Liang, not Bi Han. I do remember as a child watching the MK movie and asking why Sub-Zero was a bad guy though.lol. It confused me because the one I knew was good. That's when my brother explained that there were two different ones.

Then I remember being thrilled when the younger brother showed up in Annihilation. Although that wasn't the best movie, it was good to me as a child, and I got to see my favorite character in a movie. To this day I still think that Kuai Liang is the more iconic, and really I don't need anyone to prove it. The number of games he's been in compared to bi-han as sub-zero is just ridiculous.

Sorry, I never did play Mk1 back in the day. I was only 2 when it was released. When I turned about six my brother bought Mk2 and from there I started playing MK with him. Of course getting my butt kicked.

Now that the Arcade Kollection was released on XBL I played with Bi han in the MK1 section. I don't play Arcade Kollection often though, very little. If anything I bought it so that I could see what MK1 was like since I never played it. Yes, I did play with Bi han when I did play it though. I play the sections of MK 2 and 3 much more because that's what I like more, and I can play with Kuai Liang as well.

So to answer your question I just recently played MK1 for the first time, and when I played I did use Bi han. Even though I don't like him, I played with him because I really didn't know who else to use.

I love Scorpion to this day, but Noob has just been kicking ass and taking names in his last couple of appearances. And Scorpion, credit though I give him for almost sparing Sub's life in MK9, just hasn't evolved the way he badly needs to. Noob it is.

So I guess you chose to play as Bi-Han because in the end of the day, he's a Sub-Zero? He's got the ice powers and the looks, got the iceball and the slide, so in the end when playing the game, it doesn't matter he's Bi-Han. Am I getting this right?

Scorpion is the most overrated mk kharacter ever, but even that i like him better then the rest of the ninjas other than Sub, Jade, Reptile (FTW), Smoke and maybe Mileena.

Pikachu is the worst pokémon kharacter ever, literally every other pokémon i like better.

Since Liu Kang was the only person I could ever beat Shang Tsung with, I guess he would be my favorite character in MK1.

I didn't even play MK1 for the first time until a year and half after I played MK2, which was the first video game I ever played. In fact, I played MK2, MK3, and UMK3 before I played MK1.

I didn't beat MK1 until 2005. Pathetic, I know, but true nonetheless.

Eh, no not so much. Like I said, even when playing the game I just almost didn't feel right because I knew it wasn't my Sub-Zero. I didn't play it long either only like a few matches, just to get a feel of what the game was like.

It definitely does matter what Sub-Zero it is to me. Even knowing I'm playing with Bi-han just sucks honestly. It takes away from the character. I like some bad guys, but I'm not on the bandwagon of all people who seem to love them nowadays. I think Kuai Liang came across as an extremely strong individual. He grew more than any character, and abandoning a clan who wants to change you can apply to a lot of us today.

He was a leader not a follower. That can apply to so many people in life it's not even funny. Think of peer pressure from others. It took a hell of a lot of character from Kuai Liang to turn his back on that clan because he realized what they stood for wasn't anything he wanted to be with. Unlike Bi Han who just followed their orders without any care in the world. Also, that clan was all he knew growing up so it made it even tougher on him to realize that they weren't doing good things, and he also, unlike his brother, wanted to change himself. He didn't want to do those bad things anymore.

Like I said Kuai Liang is a leader, not a follower. I don't like Sub-Zero if he ain't Kuai Liang.

See i played Mk1 and i liked bi han there, but once i Kuai Liang came into the picture in MK2, and i saw his maskless form in MK3 thats was it for me, he was my fav from that second on.

Glad to see another Kuai Liang fan. My favorite look for him was the shredder attire from Deception. Although maskless is cool as well.

You know guys I'll admit. It is sad to see Scorpion go. I do like him, I just happen to like Noob Saibot more. It's like choosing between cake and pie for me here.

I played as Sub-Zero when MK1 came out, he was my main. I switched to reptile in Mk2 cuz I liked Green. When UMK3 came out I played as Ermac cuz he was new, and in MK4 I chose Scorpion.

I like all the ninja's...but Bi-Han was my first, and MKMythologies is actually my favorite game in the series, soo much story, and I'm a story buff. I felt sorry for anybody who played MK4 without playing MKM first...so yea, I'm voting for Bi-Han the character not Noob Saibot.

But I do like Noob Saibot as well, he was my main in MK9 lol.

I liek how Noob basically tooled everybody. The irony that Scorp only existed so that Shinnok could get revenge on Bi-Han, and then Bi-Han teaming with Scorpion while all the time knowing his true history while Scorpion did not, and then double crossing everybody...he's just a great character.
