As cool as Noob Saibot is I've always preferred Scorpion. Besides Reptile Hanzo is probably my favorite of the ninjas. Sure he may steal the spotlight away from other characters because he's so damn popular, but I don't really give a damn. I'll choose to like him over Noob Saibot because I think he's better, and not give a shit if he's popular or not. Letting other people's opinions decide if you like a character or not is just stupid.

Scorpion was enjoyable to play as in MK9 and he had some cool fatalities as well. His costumes were a little too decorative for my tastes, but his classic costume solved that problem. Noob saibot was also great in MK9, I'm glad they brought back his classic moves. His costumes were pretty cool, but I will admit fighting somebody who knows how to use his shadow moves can be annoying. Both are badass characters but in the end my vote goes to Scorpion.

Since we being childish I'll bring out my inner child. I hate people still saying Noob Saibot is only beating Scorpion because he's the original, the TRUE sub-zero. I will throw a b**ch fit then. I absolutley hate when people act like that hack bi-han is the better sub-zero when Kuai Liang has been Sub-Zero since 1993. While Bi-Han was only Sub-Zero for one f**king game. One. Uno. Singular not plural. One major fighting game while Kuai Liang has made up the whole story of Sub-Zero.

Kuai Liang: MK2, MK3, Mk4, MK:DA, Mk: D, MK:SM, MK:A, MKvsDC, MK9 (two chapters)

Bi-Han: MK1, MK:MSZ, MK9 (no chapter and like two lines in general)

Look at that, just take a hard look at it. 9 games to 3. Kuai Liang's tenure as Sub-Zero stumps Bi-Han's as Sub-Zero hugely. I absolutely hate when people say Ohh Bi-Han is the TRUE sub-zero. The More ICONIC sub-zero. Hell no he isn't. He literally got killed by Scorpion and became Noob Saibot. People can't get over the original in any medium. If someone was there first and then someone else comes in the new guy is automatically not as good because they aren't the original. Even though Kuai Liang has far and beyond become the more iconic sub-zero. MK's popularity hit its popularity spike in MK2 anyway in which Bi-han was already dead and gone.

I love Noob Saibot actually. l love that he's the original sub-zero, and how it shows that Bi-han paid for not changing his ways when Raiden told him too. I love that.

I also love the dynamic between he and Sub-Zero. How they are brothers and both took two completely different paths. It's just a good story and ultimately led me to vote for Noob Saibot.

Nothing against Scorpion at all. I think Sub-Zero or Noob Saibot would beat Scorpion if you asked JUST MK fans. It's the common audience that gives Scorpion all of that popularity. Also the ease of play he has in MK9 makes it that much worse. The hardcore MK fan is most likely not going to vote for Scorpion though because his character is stale as hell. I actually really do like Scorpion. I'm not one of the haters voting against him just for the hell of it. I just genuinely like Noob. I feel he's Sub-Zero's joker.

I will say this for Scorpion's popularity as well. If it hadn't been for the simple line "Get over here", Scorpion would have been forgotten about a long time ago. I really do believe that. I actually had a friend who hadn't played in years and he said my favorite guy from MK is the yellow one who says "Get over here". He couldn't even remember his name. That's how iconic THAT LINE is. Scorpion just happened to be the guy to get it, and good for him because honestly he hasn't done much else.

Part of the reason I didn't vote Noob is because he is Sub-Zero. One Sub-Zero was good enough. And while he may not appear to be Subby, we know who he really is. That killed my vote for Noob.

No, he WAS sub-zero. Past tense. I'm personally glad we got two sub-zero's because I didn't like Bi-Han, but I LOVE kuai liang. He's my favorite character in any medium. I also think Bi-Han turned out to be a very good character once it was revealed he was Noob Saibot.

Personally, I don't care why people vote the way they vote. Alot of people have been on this site for a long time and have been fans of MK for a VERY long time.

I think that in that time, through MK, MK2, MK3, UMK3, Trilogy, MK4, MK Gold, MK:DA, MK:D, MK:A, MK2011 (and the various offshoot games) that people have every right to connect to the characters they want to, tolerate the characters they want to, dislike the characters they want and yes, despise the characters they want.

So maybe there are a good number of people that are just tired of Scorpion? Maybe they hate him and don't want him to win because they're sick of him being everywhere when a new MK game gets announced, advertised etc.

Maybe that hatred makes them like Noob more. At the end of the day, it's our own opinions of the characters and again, the criteria we take in to account.

So vote for a character because you like them more, or hate them less than the other character, whatever. It's a poll for MK fans, and for some or even many, it might have zero to do with who's more popular among casual fans, who's more popular among tournament players or who's been around longer or been more of a symbol of the series.

We like what we like, we hate what we hate, it doesn't have to be fair. It's our opinion and we're all entitled to it. That is all.

Scorpion. He was the first character I won a match with when MK1 was in the arcades, and the first I performed a fatality with. His spear is one of my favorite fighting game moves. He isn't my favorite to play as in MK9, but I like his gameplay much more than Noob Saibot's.
