I see it going similarly to this as well. Although Sonya might beat Noob. Raiden might beat Cage and Smoke might beat Ermac. Now that round 2 is over lets all vote on the remaining matches for the rest of the tournament. When the tournament is over we will look back on these posts and see who won.

It's definitely going to fun and exciting from here on out.

With his elder brother murdered, the mantle of Sub-Zero passes to the Lin Kuei assassin called Tundra, Kuai Liang. Unbeknownst to him, his brother's death is part of a grand scheme orchestrated by the Netherrealm necromancer, Quan Chi! It is a plot that hounds Sub-Zero as he inherits his brothers rivalry and becomes an unwitting pawn in the sorcerer's game! Round 3 kicks off with another klassic grudge bout!

LOL so Mr. Hasashi is out huh? At least he went down to Noob, who is a very cool character in his own right. When you had people in the first round proudly voting for Moloch of all people against him, the whole "I hate Scorpion because he's popular!" thing was a lot more shameless and blatant.
Meanwhile, I think I'll actually take Sue-Zero over Quan Chi. MK9 was the first game where the character of Kuai Liang actually interested me...and no, not just because he became a cyborg. He kicked ass in the MK2 segment of story mode.

On account of becoming much more interesting after being turned into cyborg. MK9 had too much Quan Chi and his gameplay wasn't really comfortable to use.

Quan Chi's gameplay is awesome!
I especially love the special move where he takes control of the opponent. His combos are also very fun to string together, much like Smoke, Kitana, and Ermac.

I really wish lightning would strike twice and get Sub-Zero out as well. He's just as much overexposed and annoying. But Sub-Zero vs. Noob or Ermac will have to do, I suppose. My kingdom for a non ninja in the finals, haha.

Sub-Zero.
Him being turned into a cyborg was great. I just wish they would keep him like that but they won't due to the fanrage it would create.
Quan Chi is my least favorite character in the entire series. That bald pale freak needs to go away.

Woah! So, let me get this straight:
Noob Saibot totally annihilated Scorpion? Not really a big surprise, but, reading through all the comments I feel there's going to be some wicked revenge against Noob.
Sonya was/is to be pitted against two of the four major MK powerhouses? Scorpion and Noob Saibot? Well, it was great to see her get this far.
Jade defeated Mileena and a lot of people are surprised? Why? I absolutely love Mileena (one of my top faves), but, they did ruin her and Kitana's stories/essence in MK9. Jade got the better end out of those 3. Also, Jade rocks.
Kitana barely defeated Rain? Not that I consider Rain an unworthy character, but, reading through all the comments and seeing the final results of this battle I only have one word: wow.
Sindel was out too soon. I can't believe Shao Kahn defeated her after her awesomeness in MK9. The Queen did well!
How did Skarlet get so many votes against Jade?
Smoke defeated Sektor and Cyrax??? What?! Go Smoke!
Ashrah VS Nitara? What a horrible difficult match!
More later, gotta run. Have fun!

Even if she don't stand a chance winning, Kitana OWNS Shao Khan!!!
His reign is over!!!
Anyhow, I voted for Quan Chi, I'm sick of BOTH Scorpion and Sub-Zero; they still bring nothing new except newly spammed combos; nothing interesting and worth remembering; literally!!! I'm very proud that they added the necromancer move to Quan Chi after it's original appearance in MK Mythologies: Sub Zero; yet I don't care for his 2nd fatality - it should've been scrapped from the start!

Subby, I like Quan Chi I feel as if he's probably the Ultimate baddie of MK, certainly not the most powerful but hes manipulative and cunning.
However, Sub-Zero was my favourite character for a good while so my vote goes to him.

As amazing a character as Quan-Chi is, and as improved as he's been in this latest iteration... Sub-Zero is still a thousand times better and one of the best video game characters ever.

Quan Chi:
Pros:
Quan Chi is the straw that stirs a LOT of drinks in MK's story.
One of the few free agent villains. Serves his own self interest, which makes him more interesting and unpredictable.
Became a major villain in MK:DA. Had awesome look in that game.
From his teleport stomp to his leg beatdown fatality, to all of his sorcerer's moves, he's always been fun to use.
Given his powers and who he is, I see a metric TON of potential in what he can do both story-wise and gameplay-wise going forward.
Cons:
Still hasn't really realized his potential in terms of moves. Great as they are, they could still be a lot better.
Was decent, but not great in MK2011.
Hated his look in MK4.
Sub Zero:
Pros:
One of the classic MK characters. Been around since MK2. I don't really take this in to account, but I'm sure others do (for some reason).
Loved him in MK1, though that's not really who he is anymore. Jumpkick/slide FTW!
His alt outfit in MK:DA, both outfits in MK:D and his primary in MK2011 were all awesome. Loved the small variations of his ice attacks in MK2011.
It's tough to imagine an MK game without him.
Cons:
Overall, I wasn't a fan of the way he played in MK2011.
I absolutely hated what they did to him in MK3: Making him a white guy with a stripe down his face? Umm, okay. They gave him a silly throw, a spandex outfit and tec-vest and slicked his hair back... Oh good lord.
The ice moves are starting to get a little tired. It has defined his character to such a degree, but for me, he's not nearly as cool and exciting as he used to be.
Cyber Sub-Zero. If Liu Kang's death in MK:DA's intro is one of the best twists in MK, then this is arguably the worst (in my opinion). Do not like. Do not want to see him going forward.
Final Opinion: I just think that I like Quan Chi more overall going forward. I still like Sub-Zero of course, but the fact that he's an icon or whatever means little to me. If anything, I think that he could stand to take a game off so that I could miss him. Maybe return with some new moves and a new storyline or something.
Voted: Quan Chi. The Sub Zero character is great, but the 2nd Sub Zero has had a bumpy road starting with MK3. Great character, but I think that Quan Chi has more potential going forward.
Especially if they're seriously going to go with this Cyber-Sub Zero storyline that borderline ruins his character for me.

Sub-Zero, Bi Han, Kuai Liang and even in cyber format. He is one of the most important characters, he always has great gameplay and is very cool (believe it or not, that pun was not intentional). Usually I main Johnny Cage, but Sub-Zero is always my second choice.

I vote for Sub-Zero, one of my favorite character, the first character always choose to play a Mortal Kombat game for the first time.
Imo Quan CHi is a great bad guy, and is always up to something, but Kuai Liang is my fav character ( really hate the name they gave him) I feel like always calling him John Turk. John Turk really gave him a "feel" and "look", Sub-Zero came into his own for sure becoming a GrandMaster and reforming the LK, and trying to save his brothers soul. Most people would just argue saying making hi ma robot was great or he is stale, but his story was actually progressing very nicely. Of course my vote goes for Sub :)
