This is the toughest round so far for me. I voted Fujin. But yet again it appears my vote didn't register, with Goro having 100% of the vote...

Fujin not being in MKX is a huge tragedy, considering horrid characters like Cassie and Jacqui made it into the game.

Goro doesn't need any explanation. I'd vote for him in almost any other round.

When will people learn that votes aren't registered instantaneously...

Oh, and why do you hate Cassie and Jacqui?

Because they're cringey, lame attempts at aping young adults. They're easily the worst characters in MKX.

Fujin has a lot of potential, especially with HD graphics and improved attempts at characterization.

Goro's potential was realized from day one. While some appearances (MK9) have been better than others (MK4), he's been a solid character throughout the series.

So while I like Fujin and think he could be great, I'm going with Goro.

What's disappointing for me is that I won't able to vote beginning this Sunday, because I'm going on vacation to Mexico. At least I'll still have two more days to vote.

Fujin.

While I appreciate Goro and what he brings to the table, he's over-used at this point. Fujin is one of the 3D era characters with, at least I feel, the most potential as far as plot and gameplay elements go. I mean c'mon;

- God-tier powers
- Storm based moveset
- Tornadic debris could be used
- Could use clouds as a sorta Smoke-esque move
- Whirlwind traps that could send opponent into the air or onto other side of screen
- Air Kombat

This guy could have so much stuff going on for him that wouldn't just be fun but would also be incredibly hype as fuck to see going on onscreen. I mean, just the fatality potential enough would be great. Who doesn't want to see a tornado come down and hurl a bunch of debris into the opponent, watching them get impaled by a bunch of shit and limbs cut off by boards, metal, ect. flying around at hundreds of mph. I don't throw the term "lazy" around often but when it comes to Fujin, holy shit, NRS have been incredibly lazy.

Same deal for me as it was with Mavado vs Kenshi. Fujin's potential unfulfilled > Goro's potential realized. I don't normally like to vote this way, but I think Fujin has the higher ceiling regardless of who appeared in older games.

Give me the Wind God.

Warriors from two realms intersecting through opposing loyalty! Bo' Rai Cho may have been born in the realm of Outworld, but in the struggle against conquest he has long chosen the sanctity of Earth. With centuries of martial arts mastery behind him, he is the guiding hand behind some of the world's greatest champions - and a formiddable kombatant in his own right! Tasia is a skilled swordswoman who chooses to walk a dark path in Earth's criminal underworld. As a member of the Black Dragon clan she serves the whims of Kano and his merry band of mercenaries. Killing in the name of anyone that pays, she lent her skills to a new Emperor of Outworld against the Special Forces of Earth. Who's next? It's master vs minion!... FIGHT!

Post Fight Edit: Interesting note for anyone curious: Tasia arrived in this year's tournament ranked #63 (out of 74), while Bo' Rai Cho was ranked #64. Tasia made her Supreme Champion tournament debut last year, losing in the First Round. Her inclusion was inspired by her appearance in the MKX tie-in comics, but like Tremor, she began life as a non-playable sub-boss in Mortal Kombat: Special Forces.

Moveset: Well, considering Tasia's never been playable...

Personality: Bo Rai Cho. He's actually kind of funny in the intro dialogues.

Design: Bo Rai Cho. Tasia's looks pretty uninspired.

Finishers: Tasia has never been playable, and she doesn't have any fatalities, so Bo.

Backstory: Bo Rai Cho.

In a fight: Bo Rai Cho.

The drunken martial arts teacher wins against the Black Dragon swordswoman 6-0-0.

Not a big fan of Bo'. A lot of people love him and I'm glad for his fans that he ended up in MKX, but I would have preferred they brought back a different 3D era character. He's the character I've played the least out of KP2.

So I went with Tasia. Her comic appearance was pretty rad and could be a cool character if fleshed out, what with the swords and shit.

Bo' Rai Cho is one of the greatest fighters ever.

I loved him in the 3D era, and I love him more in MKX. I really hope his inclusion as DLC doesn't hurt his chances to make the main roster for the next one.

Nice to see the inclusion of obscure villain No. 7, but I still went with Bo'.

MKX really has done wonders for him, not that i found him to be a bad character before, but he's had a bit of personal growth, become more serious and been given near-infinite combos.

Something tells me that his inclusion as DLC indicates he survived Shinnok's attack on him. On the other hand, I'm surprised that all three Shokan warriors lost this time around. Not that it really matters. I'm just glad that Fujin won against Goro.

Tasha has potential, no question, and I'd like to see her in the next game, but I prefer Bo. If they'd can the nonsense with him, he'd be a really good character.

Im kind of surprised Fujin won over Goro, but I think that is ONLY because he wasn't in MKX and everyone is pining for him.

As for this bout, i'm going with Bo'Rai Cho. We already have one character from the worst MK game in history, we don't need another that's even more obscure. If she were to be included in a future MK game, I would hope that they greatly expand upon the Black Dragon. It seems like they had a decent setup in the story mode of Armageddon, with the Red Dragon and Black Dragon cults being directly related to the Dragons of Tagon and Daegon (or whatever their names are), so I'm assuming that in MKXI they may expand upon the Red Dragon vs Black Dragon conflict. I always thought the introduction of the Red Dragon was contrived and pointless, and never liked any character associated with it.

Rant aside, Bo'Rai Cho. Real, established character vs. a throwaway character from that pos Special Forces game? Easy decision. And frankly the comic doesn't count, because other than Scorpion taking in Takeda, there's absolutely nothing that ties the comic and game together.

Was absolutely stoked they gave Bo another run in MKX as a cameo AND a playable character. They also didn't tone down the farting and puking so good on them. That's what's so great about Bo.

Voting Bo fo sho.

Bo' for the win.

Tasia is cool and I'd definitely like to see more of her (outside of the comics, maybe MK11 DLC?) After all, what's wrong with more Black Dragons, amiright? But Bo' has always been one of my favorites so gotta go with him......plus he's fun as hell in MKX.

In this battle of man-boobs vs lady-boobs:

Bo Rai Cho has come a ways from his DA-era self, and I say this as one of his 3 fans from back then. Giving him more dialogue and smoother animations is a huge plus. and between the Dragon Breath moves, the fancy staff attacks and comical flying kick, we can actually think "Yeah...I guess I can see how this goof trained Liu Kang."

Tasia. Right. In the words of Kano in MKX, "Special Forces, HAH!"

Fatty it is, then!
Bo' Rai Cho > bloodless Skarlett, though I can imagine her future potential.

Bo got a great upgrade in XL. Love his styles.

Law and order in the realm of Earth! Jax is the Special Forces super-soldier without an ounce of quit! After losing his arms in the line of duty, he was outfitted with cybernetic replacements. They couldn't save him from paying the ultimate price to save the world, but after serving evil in the Netherrealm as a revenant soldier - the hero was given a second chance at life! Hsu Hao is evil intent through and through. As a member of the Red Dragon clan he relishes the evil deeds he commits for the criminal cult. In another lifetime he would have infiltrated the Special Forces, but in this one he simply kombats them. Will he pay for his crimes when the metal arm of the law catches up? Round 1... FIGHT!

I'm too old for this shit.

On a more serious note, Jax though I would like Hsu Hao to come back as a small cameo.
