Did she? I thought she was knocked out first round, like usual? Maybe she made it to the second round once, but I don't have a good memory of these things. No respect for my girl! She was everything I wanted in MKX :)

Tanya made the second round in 2014 and 2015.

MKX was announced in 2014. Fans who played MK2011 were given a lot of reason to be thinking about Tanya and the MK4 characters. In 2015, she was known to be in the game. That is an increased peak of relevance. Fin.

Being playable will always be more relevant than just being talked about becase said character isn't in the game, what you're saying doesn't make sense. Sorry.

I'm really not interested in measuring 2016 against other years (which seems to be where you're getting stuck). In simplest terms: 2014 was a peak speculation year with high reasonable focus on MK4. For Tanya, that was inevitably a relevance high point.
