Btw, is it just me or.. Noirvern looks like it could be an evolution of Swoobat?
Vaguely... Looks more like a new Pokemon, though.

A Japanese TV show previously hinted Sylveon's type with a skit, and discussion about Love type was because it's weak to Poison by stuff like Jealousy, Stronger than Steel, and warm hearts of Ice. Supposedly Fairy will be weak to Poison and Steel, immune to Dragon, super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting. Fire and Psychic-type Pokemon take half damage from it.
What about Sound? So many Pokemon fit that type theme, even Noivern. GS introduced 2 types.
How about a clothing themed Pokemon?
Onesie > Tunic > Three Piece Suit?

I like clauncher too.
Shao Kahn did nothing wrong
What the fucking fuck?
Talonflame looks cool but I am kind of hoping that it isn't the actual name.
It's real dude, and it looks awesome!
I'm really loving this generation of pokemon so far. They've really gotten back to the roots of how pokemon should be. Now I can ignore the 5th generation with ease. lol

Yevetal's probable Dark or Dragon/Flying. The horns/claws scream bird dragon. Dark/Dragon like Hydreigon line?
I say X is fighting, because of the other deer things being fighting. Other type possibilities seem like Grass, Steel, Ghost or Psychic, but meh. Not every foresty creature needs to be Grass.
Noivern could be a Swoobat evo. Altaria changes from Normal/Flying to Dragon/Flying, and Scorupi goes from Bug/Poison to Poison/Dark.
How is Marill a fairy? I thought it was a mouse/rabbit thing.
Faries being weak to Steel? Oberon, King of Sprites. Leprichauns...
Except for Anorith, why aren't Crustateans Bug type?

Marill, like Jigglypuff and Clefairy, is a member of the Fairy egg group.
It seems that the majority of pokemon within the group will have the Fairy type, especially those with the Fairy classification, like Snubbull.
EDIT: The lion pokemon has arrived!
I'm also liking that flower fairy thing... Furabebe or something like that? *shrug* That's a nifty idea.
It is probably a fairy because it is cute. Seriously, it screams cute when you look at it and the other Fairy-based Pokemon.

Though you are right, there are exceptions, like how Flygon's evolutionary line are in the Bug group, yet not Bug-types. But yes, that makes more sense than my cuteness theory. Also, Luxray will always be the best lion.

I'm not too bothered about the retroactive typing. In fact it's really good. I hate the majority of new designs for new pokemon (Gogoat the clear exception), but since i'll (probably) never own a DS or 3DS i'm not going to get on a high horse about it. It's time to accept that disappointment comes with the territory of getting older.

I like the new Lion pokemon, but like Jerrod said, Luxray is still the best Lion so far. We'll have to wait for the final evolution to come out and then judge.
I've never really considered Luxray a lion.
I've always saw it as sort of a lynx.
Me either. and Manectric seems like a wolf.
I've seen pics posted, comparing Talonflame to a Peregrine Falcon(some say head is a Cardinal), why not call it Pyregrin?

I must say, I'm impressed with the Safari Zone. The habitat customizing is cool.

Y'know there's tiny green birds in Mexico or South America that look just like Keckleon, with cute lil pointy crowns. I can't find them again. I thought they were nammed after Quetzocoatl, but I could be wrong.

I like this, I like this. I wonder what will resist it? If Poison does, then they may have some significant use in the future.

The Fairy type's alleged full W/R comes from a rumor/leak.
*Edit: About Marill, rabbit's are considered faeries in Irish folklore.

Offensively, Poison seriously needs a buff, even if it weren't so wrongly hideously nerfed in Gen II by having it be no longer SE against bug, and having no effect against the (then) new Steel. (ironically in Gen II poison's defense DID get buffed). IRL, poison weakens the health and kills living things; not just plants, but bug and aquatic life, even humans.

Agreed. Personally, I'd have made Posion super effective against Water and Plant, just because pollution goes a long way, and it would help in dealing with tough Water types with only two weaknesses.

The thing I like about Poison attacks is that it has an all-around general effectiveness. It has a minimal 1.0 effectiveness against 12 types, and the status moves have general effect on all but one type, which is Steel.
Furthermore, Poison type pokemon often have good Sp. Attack stats (at least mine do lol), which goes well for moves like Sludge Bomb and Venoshock.
