This is exactly why Attract doesn't work that way and isn't intended to work that way. IMO it's bad enough that confusion doesn't count as a status.

Yeah, with how many Pokemon can learn Attract, it would be extremely difficult to counter. Heck, you'd need something with Taunt, Safeguard, Magic Bounce, etc to stop the likes of pokes like Lanturn and stuff...

I named it Venice, after the city in Italy. 'Cause, you know, water.

Man, I've not entered Dream World in such a long time... I have to go back and see if I can get something cool.
Doesn't matter if Attract is meant to be balanced, I've now seen an even more hilariously irritating Liepard set.
Someone posted replays of Liepard with Swagger, Substitute, Assist, and Psych Up. On its team was only a Smeargle, nothing else. Assuming the Liepard manages to survive long enough to get that substitute up, it then uses Swagger (sometimes twice), then Psych Up to copy the stat boost of Swagger and give itself a good atk stat. After that, it proceeds to use Assist and hope for the best. Smeargle has Dive, Fly, Shadow Force, and Roar. All three of those let it dodge an attack (and Shadow Force can break through Protect), while Roar seems to just be filler that prevents it from ever getting an undesired move from Assist. With a little luck and max speed it can take out all six pokemon on the other team. Who cares if it requires a bit of luck and some set up time, it's thoroughly entertaining to watch.

Ugh, I hate sets like that. I much prefer using a stat-up once, then sweeping. I refuse to have a set without one attack, and it has to get STAB. Even my walls like Cresselia run Psycho Cut, even if it gets walled by Dark types.

Substitute + Calm Mind + Any 2 special attacks = rolfstomp, given the right Pokemon.
My Blissey's set is more defender-based, with Minimize and Softboiled, but it also has Shadow Ball and Thunderbolt for single battles.
In online Double and Rotation battles, I give Blissey the move Bestow in place of Shadow Ball and attatch Ring Target to it. It helps in knocking out Ground types and other pokemon with type immunities.

Indeed. Even Sand Veil's been banned, which is why Garchomp was demoted to OU from Uber.

Wow, that's crazy. lol
Minimize is actually my Blissey's primary defense technique, considering its low physical defense. I recently taught it Thunder Wave, though, so that helps.
Why is Minimize illegal?

Specifically, Smogon has banned any sort of evasion boosting move... As far as I know it is only illegal if you (or the tournament you are participating in) are playing by their rules. I strongly disagree with it, but I disagree with their methods 90% of the time to begin with. There always seems to be an extreme prejudice against alternative battle styles in that community, especially if said style could be irritating to fight against. What's more frustrating about this ban though is that it's yet another blow to Articuno's effectiveness. The move that takes 50% of Articuno's hp just for switching in is not banned, yet the bird's 20% chance (in hail) to get lucky and dodge an attack is.

Agreed. I'm not a fan of Double Team and Minimize, so I can understand those moves being banned by Smogon, but Sand Veil, Snow Cloak, and Bright Powder shouldn't be banned as a result. Hell, if you have that much of an issue with evasive moves, get something with Haze, Roar, or Clear Smog (I love you, Regenerator Amoonguss), because there are ways to deal with it, even if they are not all desirable. If people can accept Stealth Rock causing so much harm because it can be removed almost as easily as it can be set up, so can the likes of evasive moves.
When it comes to a lot of bans that Smogon makes, most of them are really stupid; for example, BLAZIKEN is considered Uber tier, no matter what ability it has, even though it is only difficult to deal with when it has the ultra-rare Speed Boost ability, which, again, is so uncommon that I am willing to bet none of them have ever been seen by a Smogon user outside of Pokemon Showdown online.
Oh yeah, double for me on Stealth Rock; it cripples 4 types that are all now populating the lowers tiers because none of them can even switch in without taking a fuck-tonne of damage. Seriously, there may be some pokemon that can handle it (Volcarona, Gyrados, Salamence, etc), but you are still required to have a spinner, with the weak ass attack of Rapid Spin, to be able to allow those guys to switch in more than twice, and something to take on the likes of whatever Ghost type they throw in to block the spin.
Go home, Smogon, you're drunk.

Smogon doesn't seem to be affiliated with thePokemon Global Link tournaments, which are the tournaments I was referring to, so I guess I'm good.
I don't really want to get into any tournaments that aren't directly hosted by Nintendo.

there's no reason for evasion altering moves to be banned when moves like Faint Attack and Aerial Ace exist
Evasion boosting is one of those things collectively referred to as "hax". It's anything that is based on luck, basically. Smogon would appear to be allergic to them, heh... They want to remove as much luck from a fight as possible... Even if it is as easily countered as evasion.
I actually read a debate on this at the site. If I remember right, they refuse to have Blaziken in two different tiers depending on its ability. They say it's too complicated to start putting Pokemon in different tiers depending on what ability they have... It seems a bit hypocritical to pain-stakingly test hundreds of Pokemon and all that jazz while using 'banning' to take the easy way out of a more complicated situation.

Hypocritical is the right word; they don't approve of hax, yet fully endorse moves like Stone Edge and Focus Blast with their piss-poor accuracies, and they place Latios and Latias in OU without Soul Dew, but Uber with Soul Dew... And they banned all Moody Pokemon to Ubers before banning the ability altogether, meaning that for a time, Smogon placed all variations of Bidoof into Ubers. BIDOOF.

If Nintendo made it, I'm going to use it until Nintendo says otherwise. I like my evasive moves, and I'm not giving them up, especially with my Blissey.

Do what you want with your evasion-enhancing moves. My thing is, if youy can make it happen, it should be legal. As long as you don't use AR to give Pokemon wierd moves with TMs, I'm fine with you. You can build the ultimate Pokemon, a super Dragonite, I honestly don't see the point in banning anything when it comes to this kind of thing. If it's done without altering the game itself, I'm fine with everything!

I have Action Replay, and I don't think there's a code that does that.
I only use Action Replay after I've beaten the game completely. I mostly use it to speed up the EXP gain for certain pokemon, like the ones that don't evolve until Lv. 55. I'll be honest, though, I did use it to get my Suicune.
Anyhoo, I recently got myself a Lv. 10 Lunatone from the Dream World. I'm gonna train the shit out of it! lol

I don't use it, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. In fact, I think it makes a good strategy move. Now Pursuit is a bad one; that's the cheap shot of Pokémon moves. A really low blow it is.

Good luck. My friend took three tries to beat it with no healing inbetween, trying with his Yanmega, Garchomp, and Empoleon, all failing to defeat my SECOND best Torterra. It took all 3 to defeat the thing on my HeartGold. I would absolutely LOVE to be able to battle with all of you, but my internet connection says otherwise.
Speaking of my Torterra, can somebody give me any tips on him(as he is seen above, White or HG?)
