You didn't hit shit, lol. We (Sonya fans) just think you're immature and probably 12yo judging by your signature. We only pay mind to the people who dislike Sonya politely (like Icebaby) and not by being a tacky try hard.

Which is odd, as I've never mentioned anything about the characters I like in that context. So you're making that up in your head.

But by saying that you're just going against your own words. You can't be tolerant to others' opinions, and then say you aren't tolerant of a certain group of people who's opinions you don't like. You are only tolerant to SOME people's opinions then.

And who are you to judge what is stupid, fanboyism and snobby? You looking down at others and seeing yourself better than others is rather snobby. Calling people stupid and calling them fanboys, deeming them and their opinions lesser than yours... That's not only intolerant, that's also what defines a snob.

So again, look inward before judging others.

There's no such thing as "true" fans. But there are fans who are more passionate and knowledgable about Mortal Kombat than others. And it is those fans who will feel hurt should NRS do something they don't agree with.

Personally, I've grown up with Mortal Kombat, but I have generally been open-minded with what the MK team have done with the franchise. My favourite characters might not be popular and have only appeared in a few selected games, but that doesn't mean I hate every other character or hate the games they aren't in. I like the franchise as a whole. And I like what we've seen with MKX as well. I'm not 100% pleased with EVERYTHING, but the good outweighs the bad for the most part.

Loving everything thrown at you is just as bad as hating everything, mind you. You shouldn't just accept everything you get and feel grateful that you at least get some (lol). That just seems desperate and ALOT more fanboyish than those clinging to the past and not accepting anything new.

You can and should be critical, in all aspects of life. And that means Mortal Kombat as well. That's the only way things will change for the better.

If not, then please stop continueing this discussion where you keep mentioning his sig.

There is a fine line between a discussion and a dick measuring content.

Also off topic and completely random but, when I was a kid playing MKII when I saw Kintaros portrait on the ladder I thought he was a Black guy with a white beard.

The Above Sig reminded me just now.

I'm not against having both Cage and Sonya included in the roster; out of all 30 or so characters in the game, having the original 7 "Klassic" characters and a ton of new ones seems to please the most fans. This way, the ones who favor the old school cast and those that want to see Mortal Kombat proceed in a new direction with the next generation will both get what they want.

The storyline takes place over the span of 25 years, who is to say that all the characters will be present for those entire 25 years? Or rather, can stay alive for all 25 years? This story line could be an opportunity to send off our old time favorites in a glorious fashion, giving them proper good byes. Lord knows how many times we had favorite characters and find out their fate briefly in somebody else's biography. This game can actually show us.

So all in all, happy to hear this news, bring on the Klassics to show the new blood how MK got put on the map.

I do not consider my opinion better, most of the time. My remarks are aimed at people who completely blind for a reason and logic.

As for who give me right to decide? I took it myself and I don't give a fuck if it's not OK with some people.

And I can ask the same question: who gave your right to decide what's worthy and what's not? You gladly try to force your opinion on others and certainly has pissed quite a few people. So, yeah, use your own advice and look inwards before throwing accusations back.

Jaded-Raven Wrote:

Agree with everything save for the part that "loving everything is a lot more fanboish, than clinging to the past". In my opinion, both are hurtful just the same.

And about criticism: it helps to distinguish where and when your critics could improve situation and where and when it's not. Also, there are different tiers of critics. Some people might hate MKX because they don't like colour of Kano's shoelaces, for example.

Sadly, most of the critics I see lately are directed at such mundane minor details, completely overlooking what makes or breaks the game. It's just a feeling like you are in a room with children who gladly will rip apart the whole project just because they don't like some parts of it. I can understand critics directed at a game mechanics or some other important stuff, but all this petty hateful remarks aimed at things that don't even matter (for most of the people and for the game as a whole) are just...really discoraging. Also, some people just love to drone about their hatred of certain things over and over...to the point, where even if you don't want to, you'll eventually come to hate them.

No, you did. You needed a reason to point fingers at me, and you made one up to do so, instead of reading into the actual context of the situation.

Sorry Red, but that's double standard attitude. But I guess you don't care as long you can throw comments at me to feel better about yourself.

Feel free to throw in whatever last words you want, if that makes you feel like you've "won" this discussion. I'm don't care enough to continue this discussion with you when you hang on to double standards like that.

I may not like Sonya, but I'm actually interested on how she will look and play when she's finally revealed. So, my level of butthurt-ness, 0. I mean I did play has her in 2011 because she did have some pretty good combos to murder the opponent.

I'm gonna keep throwing this out there, but I seriously hope she's got a Big Mama (from Metal Gear Solid) feel to her since she'll be older.

But I have one thing that I'll get aggravated if I see it come back. That damn fatality of hers where she splits you in two with her split. I know this series is known for never having perfect logic at all, but that fatality just makes no goddamn sense, not even if you try to draw it out. (Which I did before)

Just makes no sense at all.

I don't think anyone here, on this MK fan forum, has realized this. Well said. Did you know that she was originally not going to be in the first game? Did I just freak your mind?

IF she gets confirmed.

I cannot talk for anyone else. Me personally, I'll be dissapointed, since that would be a waste of rooster spot and I would like Cassie alot better without her. But I'll live with it, as long as I get characters I like. And I most deffinetely wont be whining or crying about it.
And I'm not an anti-Sonya fan, I just give zero fucks about her and will never give more than that.

Both of Sonya's MK9 fatalities were awful. Quan Chi's neck Scretch made more sense than them.

I actually thought that other fatality she had was... different, but in a good way. Something that wasn't so over the top, which doesn't hurt to see that from time to time.

And I love Quan Chi's neck stretch, no joke either!

I'm one of the very few who actually like her handstand body split fatality. It might not make sense, but I still think it's pretty cool.
