Sonya will likely be killed off in this game, so if she's in, at least it will be the last time for a while. Unless we get a Cyber-Sonya. That would be pretty much the only way to make her interesting. Just going off the deep end with implants. Like Jax taken to a ridiculous degree.

If you've been paying attention to the thread. There are sonya fans using that as an excuse for why some people are down on Sonya's, fairly probable, inclusion.

Which is so far off base it's borderline maniacal. To insinuate I am angry at someone's inclusion because my character has neither been confirmed nor denied is not a point to argue at all its just plain stupid. Especially when I am providing reasons for my distaste.

Try and attack my points that I have written instead of attack some false pretenses that occur in your heads.

And for the record, I dont hate Sonya. I am not a fan of her but I am not some anti Sonya guy just here to make noise and hold picket signs against her. I feel as though I am providing at least a little bit of logic to the argument.

It would be nice to hear some sonya fans make some coherent responses other than "i like sonya" , "too bad, cry about it she's in" and "her moves are different!".

Sonya's probably in, and they won't remove her just because the MKO fanboys complain, butthurt about her being in the same game as her daughter. The casuals will not care if Sonya and Cassie (and Cage) are both playable and you will deal. And i don't see why we need 10 pages of discussion for an unconfirmed "confirmed characters article"

I mean I find her boring as fuck and I wish she didn't make it, but I still wouldn't be butthurt if she did. Odds are, she is gonna be awesome with her variations and I'm gonna eat my words like I did with Kano. But people who like her, jump on those who don't and all hell breaks loose for no reason. Exactly like what happened a month ago with the Kuai Liang fans who feared this Sub Zero might no be him.
Seriously every time at this stage of the game, when characters are sooooo slowly announced, it is like World War 3 here. Nobody is allowed to have a negative opinion about someone else's favorite character. I used to be all feisty when somebody dared express a negative opinion about Mileena but after the last info and leaks we got, not anymore. I highly doubt any of my favs are gonna be in the game so no point arguing here. Nothing's gonna change anyway lol

Hey, there's no need to be like that. Sonya hasn't been officially confirmed yet, however, there have been strong hints about it. The chances are high for her, that's true... but no, she isn't confirmed just yet.

That said, i didn't say she's "confirmed", i said that she's in the game. She can be the last character revealed for all i care tho.

That's what you first said, but Scar_Subby asked when she was confirmed, and your response to that wasn't "I didn't say she was confirmed", it was "Since the day MKX was announced..." etc.

You're right though, Boon has heavily implied she will be in the game, but we don't know if she will be playable or just have a role in the Story Mode.

As far as I can tell, Boon alluded to "Cassie doing a fatality on a relative" but it wasn't clear if he met Johnny or Sonya or both. I think it's safe to say one of her parents are in for sure with a high probability for the other.

Because it is Boon, I don't see anything he says as official confirmation unless he right out states "Sonya is in MKX.". Hence why I am skeptical until there is an actual official confirmation.

Boon has mentioned there are gonna be more relatives in the game so he could be talking about them. I'm not 100% sure that this meant Johnny and Sonya are gonna be in the game.

If Sonya is playable some people will be butthurted
If Sonya is not playable some other people will be butthurted

In both cases pharmacists will sell a lot of anti hemorrhoidal creams and be happy.

I wont be too butthurt, again, I have said it before, If Sonya is in the game I am positive it will be a good showing. She will most likely be badass (judging by what we've seen so far of MKX you can't assume anything less)

But I would not be happy with the roster spot that is all. I think there are more unique character's that could be included in Sonya's stead. And if Cassie was not in the game I would definitely feel differently.

(cue the "yeah well too bad she's in so cry about it" comments)

Lets make her DLC.
That way those who want her can buy it and play as her.
Those who dont wont bother buying it.

But to be honest, though I'd rather neither Johnny nor Sonya returns, it will only disappoint me if it means that Reiko or Tanya won't be in the game. I'm not going to be butthurt about it, just a bit disappointed. I will be happy for their fans that they got their favourites in the game though. ^^

I'm simply saying that Sonya is not confirmed. So, don't count your chickens just yet. Boon was tweeting shit about Rain left and right for a while. Now, we pretty much know he has no chance. So, nothing is guaranteed.
