I'd rather MK didn't have a character that is so similar to characters from other fighting games.

I can't recall any other fighting game having a terramancer, so Tremor does seem like the better of the two. I guess we're just too great in difference.

@JadedRaven: The characters i mentioned are washed out, played out, boring, and tired, whereas Tremor would be created from scratch, and, if done right, end up being freash and interesting.

I must say, however, that Tremor has yet to have a legitimate moment within the fighting games, so it seems entirely out of the realm of validity to declare him better than any character in the series.

We hardly know anything about him. We won't be able to truly make a judgment until we see him in a greater light. Consequently, this is why I'd like to see him in MK10.

I liked what Razor did with Tremor in his universe. Kinda dressed like a thug wearing a bandana like a mask reminiscent of his ninja look. Also Noobsmoke92 asked the question why he isn't being hunted like Sub-zero and Smoke so Razor came up with the idea he is working for both Lin Kuei and Black Dragon. And the Black Dragon supplied the Lin Kuei with the cyber tech. Tremor is like a middle man

Well, yes, a little. But cross-promotion is not a new concept even in videogames. Besides, this was NRS's first venture post-Midway. It's understandable that they and WB would do as much as they could to ensure survival in the marketplace. Personally I LIKE Freddy's inclusion because I love Wes Craven films. The Screams more than the Elm Streets but anyway...



^This. Basically if they move away from the "pallet swap ninja" look (like they did with the others; Ermac, Rain etc), give him a decent moveset and include the history of his being imprisoned and subsequent escape i believe he could be a great character, if not a main one.

There's a few people here who don't want the unoriginality of 'yet another ninja' but I'm going to reverse the tables and cite Skarlet as a successful example of just that. Originally a pallet swap (rumour) character included as DLC and background but she really shone as a playable fighter.

Is this a deviation enough from the typical "ninja" look?

This was a design for a fan character named Triceratops. The maker's account was deactivated so I don't know his bio. But design-wise, I think this would fit Tremor's appearance.

I don't care what hanky thinks about character design because I just realized he never complimented any character. At all. All hanky does is just say "this would look better if". He doesn't even talk about the most important part about games: playing the game. Or rather, he said the game is boring without even playing it. He copy-pasted this in at least 2 sites.


He doesn't even want Rain anymore because of the shiny statue ninja despite the fact he made this Rain thread. He wanted originally Rain to be his shiny ninja.
