Even if Shang Tsung is really dead for good, he's likely to have ties with Sonya and Cyrax for a new storyline, or have his storyline completely rewritten. Once a character is part of the canon, he can interact with any other character now, not just Shang Tsung.

And yes, he should return, he must be one of the top characters the team is planning to include in the next game, too.

Yes to Kenshi, of course, but i don't want him to get over-exposed.

As for his role in the story? Well i can't imagine he would be too keen on Quan Chi. The Daegon/Mavado/Red Dragon aspect is kind of moot, because it was originally Shang who hired Mavado in the DA saga, but there's no reason why Quan or Shinnok couldn't do that instead. Why Shang wasn't seen with the undead? Shang's soul is magically tied to Shao Kahn's so that's a possible explanation.

I'm on the fence with this one. I would like to see him return, but if it's at the expense of Ermac (i.e., cutting him out of MK 10), then no.

It's a yes for Kenshi, Khameleon is next.

I was never a fan of either character, but at least this character had a story that was actually surprisingly interesting. I mean, at least we see another one of Reptile's race who's on the good side and tries to explain to him about how it was Kahn's fault. If this character has more of an importance in this series, I'll be interested. However, as of right now, it's a no for me.

I think she has a lot of potential for growth, particularly in visual design and special moves...but I'm not entirely sure there'd be room for her in the next game. She really ought to have been in 9 since she was in Trilogy and, y'know, the fact that Kahn is already dead robs the "Why are you serving the guy who killed our people?" dilemma of all its drama.
Buuut...I guess Shinnok is responsible for some of the Raptors' extinction too, what with that whole "they used to live on Earthrealm but the war between him and Raiden nearly wiped them out and forced them to move to Zaterra" thing.
I guess I'll vote Yes.

I'd say bring Khameleon back!

Besides the male chameleon is the worst.

She's got potential so bring her back! Reptile will need a female in his life.

To hell with all objections!

Khameleon needs to come back. She deserves a proper place in the franchise. It's a definite yes for me.

Technically Khameleon did appear in MK9 during Shang Tsung's daytime happening in his personal island. But she is the female master of disguise so of course she gets unnoticed. "Chameleons tend to hide."

By the way, if you look at her MK:A render you'll notice that she is missing an entire thumb.

As for Khameleon's fate: yes, if only in the form of another unnoticed Kameo. Right, rename her Kameo for refreshment and distinctiveness.

Yes for Khameleon. As one of the heroes, and with a less human design. She is refreshing as far as heroes and non-humans go. She truly should have been included in the last game, and been part of the story (though chances are she would have been killed by Sindel too)

I've thought of her living among humans, disguised of course. Her "human" life could include working as a business woman. She actually doesn't know about Reptile. Even since her kind were wiped out, she has been living in secrecy on earth. It's only when the invasion begins that she finally learns about Reptile, upon seeing him among the invaders.

She reveals her true form to him, and it leaves Reptile confused. Even thinking it's a trick. Some bystanders film Khameleon's encounter with a cellphone, and her transformation. These bystanders survive, and once the invasion ends, they upload it on Youtube, and it goes viral. Outed as a non-human, Khameleon, mistaken as a spy for the invaders, is now hunted down by every governments on Earth, who want to use her as a test subjects for their experiments. The public, meanwhile, wants her head on a platter.

I think it'd be nice to have a non-human character who's actually familiar with our world, but unfamiliar with most of the other realms, with the exception of outworld. Her unfair persecution by most of the human race could see some of the heroes defending her, at the risk of their own lives (like Johnny Cage making an acceptance speech). But she would have no intention of joining any villains, not even those who promise to resurrect her kind, though she would be tempted. I wouldn't want her story to be exactly like Reptile's.

The time and place for C/Khameleon really was in the previous game, and even though i like them both i'll say no to leave room for other plot-centric characters.

Actually no one has said that before, though I recall some people having rolled their eyes to my wordplay. More than anything I've been praised for it, as long as I've done it in the right moment and not in an unrelated event. Needless to say I'm gifted in wordplay which also explains why I enjoy it.

I'll vote "yes" for Khameleon. I think she needs a good revamp, and with Reptile still around, she could interact with him.

For the first time here I'll be voting a definite no. Both C and K were unnecessary additions to the series from the start.

Not really a fan..

The see through skin makes her and C look more like Ghosts than anything

I'd accept both as Bonus characters that shift through the male and female ninja pallettes and movesets,,,That would make a pretty cool challenge tower mission actually.

I'm going to go ahead and say no.

This is coming from a gameplay perspective, I don't think she's all that unique. Having other female character moves is just stupid. They could always give her moves different properties (Like how Reptile's slide is different from Sub-Zero's) but I'd rather they didn't do that.

Maybe as a cameo in Reptile's Arcade ending or something. But not as a fully fledged playable character, so no.

It was a close one with Khameleon, 7 to 6 for yes.

Next up is Kintaro

His fate as of right now is up in the air, along with Goro after we see him and Goro get defeated by Sub-Zero. I would like to see him come back, seeing how A.) He's part tiger and I have an obsession with tigers and B.) He's my favorite sub-boss out of the entire series. I'd like to see more with this character than Goro to be honest. So it's a yes for me.

I say no.

Kintaro's really nothing more than MK2's version of Goro. He has no purpose beyond MK2, so I don't see a point in him contniuing on.

No, because unfortunately the only time he's ever been useful in the series was way back in MKII.

I dunno...he's not dead, and I like him better than Goro, but MK9 reaaaaaally made him seem like just a filler character, he never said or did ANYTHING important.

(Okay, I guess he did burn Kabal, but come on, that could have been anybody in that scene and it wouldn't make a difference. Like, it SHOULD have been a Tarkatan with a flamethrower instead, since Kabal's SUPPOSED to be all mad at Kano for giving the badguys Earth weapons and going "what happened to me is your fault" and shit, right?)

Anyway, I gotta say NO. Maybe they can bring him back for a game later down the road where they have enough screentime and the proper resources to depict the Shokan/Centaur rivalry and give it its due, but I don't see how they'll have time to focus that much on Outworld politics when Netherealm is the central villains.
