i've said it for most of the characters and i say it again; yes for Kai.

Definitely yes for Kai. Tons of unrealized potential because both of his games had rushed gameplay and almost no story.

I wish Kai's powers were animal related.

Yup. Not a single no from anyone. Same with Cage and Fujin.

I could imagine Kai in the beginning cutscene of the first story chapter in MKX with Raiden. If he makes it, hopefully he'll have a cool voice actor and good gameplay. Kai's connection to his fellow Shaolin monks, Kang and Kung, should also be brought up at some point during the game. Yes.

I hope they can get T.C. Carson to voice Kai.

I can see Kai & Liu Kang duke it out somehow.

Kai fights Liu under his hoodie, but when his hoodie gets knocked out, Kai is shocked to see Liu's scarred face.

Kai: Liu Kang? Liu, what are you doing!?
Liu Kang: You know exactly what I'm doing!

Kai: It doesn't have to be this way.

Kai: I don't understand. You fight for good. And Raiden helped you save our home.
Liu Kang: Wrong! He turned against me! Even the Elder gods let my friends die!
Kai: No i-i-it can't be. You're wrong!
Liu Kang: You'll understand the truth about your "mentor"... soon enough!

This sounds way too much like MKLegacy 2, especially with the hoodie.

Besides, I'm hoping Liu Kang stays dead.

T.C doing Kai would actually be pretty cool. If he did any yelling he'd sound like Kratos. And come on, this is MK. Nobody stays dead, you should know that by now. lol

Hopefully this time things will change.

Also, it would be pretty poor for NRS to give Liu Kang such a dramtic death towards the end of MK2011's story mode, only for it to be rendered meaningless by bringing him back in the very next game.

Then this should also be applied to the other characters that got killed in the last game who has a chance of being resurrected in the next game.

Nah, I'm biased like that.

But really, it would be better if all the characters that died stayed dead for the next game. However, that will most definitely not happen, especially since Sub-Zero was one of the ones who died.

Anyhoo, if anyone should remain dead, it's Liu Kang. The guy needs to be replaced, badly. I feel the same way about Jax and Sonya as well. We need some new heroes in this bitch!

Y'know, every time someone says "I wish the characters who die would stay dead", I wonder...

If you guys were the writers, how would YOU do a story about Shinnok, King of Hell, invading the realms of the living, withOUT having anyone in his army be people who have risen from the grave?

The one time it makes sense for all the dead to come back to life. I'd be willing to have this be the last time where there's anybody coming back from the dead, as it does make sense for once. But after MK10 death should be a big deal.

Even after 10 games, I still doubt they'll take death seriously.

........Except maybe for Motaro. Poor Centaur bastard never stood a chance.

Motaro got bodied by Raiden with almost no effort. Raiden was all like, "Excuse me a second Stryker, I have to go regulate me a centaur." It was hillarious.

And Stryker is just standing there, all chill. He ain't afraid o' Nothin'!

I don't really see a reason for Kano to be excluded.

The man will do anything for riches, and I'm sure Shinnok - or Raiden for that matter - can peak his fancy.
