Since they made an overhaul on Stryker why not on Jarek.

I'd say no since he's a Kano clone. But in this case, yes.

He's got that tri-star weapon that can be quite useful. They just need to change his moveset.

Since the next game's story will likely focus on Shinnok, we probably will see Jarek. To be honest, I'm still not really a fan of him, BUT at least in Armageddon, there were some good things done with him. For one thing, we get a bit more of an insight into his personality. He's definitely a scumbag, but he felt betrayed after helping the heroes fight off Shinnok's forces. Unlike Kano aiding Shao Kahn out of fear for his life (well, in the old continuity anyway), Jarek would rather side with his longtime enemies to take down the bigger enemy. It does make him different enough in those regards.

In terms of gameplay, he might have started off of as a Kano clone, but he did gain a few unique specials of his own in MK: Armageddon. To be fair, back in MK4, it did kind of make sense that Jarek would use some of the same moves as Kano since there's that sort of "master/student" dynamic. I'm not really sure about him using a lasso, but hey, it beats being a clone of another character.

I'm going to shock the world and say "yes" to Jarek! And no, I'm still not optimistic about the way the stories are being told or the way characters are being portrayed. Penis-faced Shang Tsung, I'm looking at YOU!

Shang Tsung: But I died!

Me: I DON'T CARE! NYEH!

Well how do you see moveset in overhaul like Kenshi's?

Well, he has his moves from Armageddon. I think his low lasso move could be more like Lobo's low-hitting chain attack. I didn't really understand or like him using an axe. I kind of think that a machete would have made more sense for him. To me, his fighting style should be cruder than Kano's style.

I mean, the lasso thing is kinda weird, but I don't exactly mind it either. If you combine both his lasso and the right kind of melee weapon for him, he can have enough of his own specials. Plus, he has the back slam quake and that command grapple where he kicks the opponent to the other side. I know he had the tri-blade in MK4, but I don't think he should really have something like that for his projectile. *shrugs*

Jarek will be changed tomorrow. I'll give him a few more hours, didn't think I got a lot of votes for him.

While I do think the character's moves and personality could be overhauled into something interesting...the only story purpose introducing another BD gang lieutenant like Jarek to the roster really serves is to show the state of affairs the Black Dragon falls into, in a world where they are left bereft of Kano's leadership.

But Kano hasn't gone anywhere. He's not dead or out of contact with the gang in this continuity, not to mention Sonya and he haven't settled their feud yet like they did in the original MK3.
So I vote No.

Well it was a close call but it's a no for Jarek. Next up is Jax.

Well, I certainly did enjoy his character a lot more in the recent game than I did in the past. I actually liked playing as him for a couple of fights and such. However, seeing how he's undead, he'll most likely be in the next game. Whether or not he's playable makes a difference. As much as I like to see him return, I don't want to see him in the next game. So it's a no for me.

I'd say a yes.

I'd rather he be non-playable in MK10 until his return at the end of the game. Hope he'll be playable again in 11.

Jax is amazing, however he was in MK8 and MK9 already so he can rest in the next one; only to return greater than ever in the eleventh Mortal Kombat. Yes for non-playability – Sonya will see what an abomination he's become.

Yes.

The dead will be playable. Unlockable or DLC at the very least, if not on the starting roster.

I say no.

I think it's about time Jax, Liu Kang, and Sonya passed the torch anyhow. They need successors.

I'll be changing the vote tomorrow, get your votes in if you haven't yet! Also, don't include the "playable" "not playable" in your votes just yet. I'm holding that off until the very end when we go back to the roster we'll create with this vote and go through each of those characters. So just hang on with the playable things for now. We're just strictly talking about appearances.

As a close call for Jax, you still want him to come back. Here's the roster that we have for the next game:

Next up is Johnny Cage

First off, I definitely LOVED what they did with his character for once. Despite having him come back in Trilogy after Daniel Pesina basically ruined him, I came to like Johnny Cage again. (Literally, I stopped liking this character because of Daniel's stupidity, thus also refusing to get his autograph when he paid a visit to Galloping Ghost along with several other actors) He was fun to play as in the latest game. Seeing how they ended with him and Sonya having the potential being the next heroes, he'll most likely be back. Do I want him back? Of course I do. It's a yes for me!

I'd say YES to Johnny KAGE!

If he gave up his movie star life, perhaps he'll focus on being a defender even more.

This is such a no brainer. Of course JC should be in MK10.

I know a lot of people want him to be take things more seriously in the next game, as do I. But I don't want him to be completely dead serious all the time. He should still retain a little of the quips and attitude while he's fighting. That's what makes him so damn cool.
