Yes! Yes to Jade!
Wonder if she'll get possessed by that mysterious woman in her ending.

Yes but not playable.
Just in cutscenes showing the undead attack, then showing the undead get brought back to life.

I'm not sure.
I love Jade, but I don't know if she'll have a relevant part in the next game. The only way it would make sense for her to come back from the dead is if everyone came back, and I'm not really okay with that.
I guess, for now, I'm going to have to say no.

YES, partly 'cause it's just the logical outcome.
Quan Chi spoiled the fact that everybody who died will be in the next one before 9 even ended. I really don't see the point of fooling oneself into believing they'll be unplayable NPCs.
And yes partly because I want to see her ending come true.
I don't know who Crystal Dream Lady is (though I DO know she's NOT fucking Delia or Khameleon)...but if she has the power to see that MK9 shouldn't have turned out the way it did and has the actual ability to change the past and fucking fix it, then I welcome her presence with open arms.

Even though I know neither of these are the woman, how in the world did Delia become a thought again?
I mean, it's quite obvious neither of these two characters is the mysterious woman, but I don't know how Delia was brought up as a possibility when we all know she's not.

Yes to Jade as playable, maybe an unlockable due to the being undead thing.

It probably has a lot to do with people not remembering what Delia looked like and just thinking "A woman who can see the future? Taven's mom can do that, must be her!"

I say No to Jade. I want to see Tanya shine/

Nope.
I would like to see her come back as playable in the future, but she died in MK9 so i'd rather her being an unplayable character in the next game along with the others that died.

Yes to Jade, especially she is the only character who can fix MK9's terrible retcons (ending with the Lady).
And secondly,I want her to separate from Kitana's story arc. And hook up with Smoke... :3

I don't understand this pairing.

Well it's important in a relationship to have things in common, and they do both like to hide behind trees...

I guess all that talk of "Opposites attract" is just bullshit. then.

Yes they were both hidden characters in MK2, but that's a stupid reason to pair them. If anything Kung Lao would be a better fit for Jade since they're both supporting characters to their best friends. They'd probably see each other more often if Liu Kang came to visit Edenia in his downtime or whatever.
(Plus Kung Lao doesn't smell like smoke all the time. Not trying to derail thread though so I'll stop.)

I was joking.
But Kung Lao? "Their best friends are dating each other so they should hook up too" is just as dumb.
Either way, I'm not against the idea of romantic subplots in MK like some fans are, but I think they should only be given to characters who need them.
For example, Liu x Kitana works because it furthers the main plot of MK1 thru 3 of him being the main hero trying to defeat her evil stepfather, and there are certain characters like Johnny Cage or Mileena, for whom being lusty is a major character trait.
But Jade doesn't really need romance to tell any part of her story...unless she was gay and that's the reason she's so devoted to Kitana...but I kinda doubt that's the case.

Yeah, what he said.
I like Jade, but she needs to have more going for her own story. If she can develop into a more significant character while getting more exploration into her, she could be better. Gameplay-wise, they need to speed up the start-up frames for her projectiles, because she doesn't zone well.
Personality-wise, I have to agree with the whole "too easy" thing. I see her as being the quietest and most solitary of the three. I have to wonder if she knows anything about her heritage and/or if that will be explored in later games. With a character who has been around for so long but is also somewhat largely mysterious, it would help to explore and develop her.

Funny you should say that, because I found this on her wikipedia page a while back and it's still there.
"The "absolutely, stunningly beautiful" Jade's role in Jerome Preisler's 1997 novelization of Annihilation is similar to this film, as she first tries to seduce Liu Kang and later lures the Earthrealm warriors into a trap and is revealed to be Kitana's former lover."
As much as I love both of them, not even Jesus and lesbians combined could save that trainwreck.

I believe 100% that Jade is in love with Kitana. I don't necessarly think she's lesbian, but i'd like to believe she has feelings for her.

Yes, Jade should definitely be in it, whether PC or NPC. Since it's VERY likely that Tanya will be in it (and deservedly so being the right part of the timeline), the Jade/Tanya rivalry needs 'airtime' for want of a better expression.
So it's a yes for Jade. Here's the characters you agreed you want back so far:

Next up is Jarek!
Hmm, I never really played as Jarek in the first game he debuted in. I don't really see him be that big of a character either in the next game unless the dragon clans have a big role in the story (or as like a side story whatever). I don't really see this character have anything for him for the next game unless there's really a significance for him. It's going to be a no for me.

I say yes for Jarek. Playable as well.
I've always liked Jarek for some reason. I'd like to see his gameplay and personality explored more.

Save the playable vs non-playable stuff for later! I'm going to go back to the list of characters who you all want in and see which ones you want to play as and others just make an appearance once we're all done sorting out on who's in and who's not!
Thanks!
Thanks!

If he's not a Kano clone, then yes.
