I still dont believe that you guys found "exact" matches for these silhouettes out of any old picture.. and those were the ones they chose. nope.

Didn't get a chance to carefully read all the speculations on who or what this was. I just barely skim through them. So has it been confirm this was a placeholder for the real silhouette? If not I like to speculate:

It's Tanya, referring to how her hair was in MK4. I don't know how to add picture to post, but just look up MK4 Tanya picture.

I'm fairly certain it's been established that many (or all) of the silhouettes are dummies (though Ed hints that there is some truth in the actual picture used in some cases.)

That spot seems to be a silhouetted Terminator. Obama and Rorschach are also disguised.

So in a recent interview Boon confirmed that they wanted to mess with our heads in the select screen so this isn't the actual cast. Well we knew that already but he also said that there were hints in each of the silhouettes about the characters that will be in the game.

I found this image in TYM and most of them seem pretty accurate. So which characters do you think they might be hinting?

My guesses from a quick glimpse:
Magneto - Raiden
Barack Obama - Baraka
Prince - Rain???

Good ideas and nice thread topic. I was going to make one of these myself, but you beat me too it.

Boon also specifically mentioned that the squares with the character pictures in them aren't linked and then was like "I wonder what that means" in his typical trolling way lol. I can't imagine this being some sort of dial that slides to reveal more characters, as the squares wouldn't have to be unlinked to do that, so I dunno, color me intrigued though!

As for who the characters might be... That's tough. Boon said that there are some hints, but there are also so straight up lies in there (if I remember correctly). I'm sure there might be some actual silhouettes in there as well.

Terminator = definitely Sector/cyrax less likely cybersub/smoke (none can be ruled out right?)

is bottom left sean paul? = kai (dreads)

Stone cold = someone big (reminds me most of shao kahn but cant see him returning as playable)

rorschach = noob? dark characters

Could very well be.. The whole thing is, is since we dont have a set in stone count on the number of new characters. Any of the icons could represent new characters. So it is kind of a crap shoot.. but fun nonetheless. But I agree with the assumptions we as a thread have made so far.

Terminator - is mot likely Sektor or CSZ.
Lego - I am agree, that it can be Cyrax. Besides, cyborg don't age.
As for the others - no clue.
