Okay, so far we have Scorpion as the Shirai Ryu assassin in police custody, Jax and Sonya as detectives and what not attempting to stop Shang Tsung, Reptile as a diseased freak who kills and eats heads, Baraka beings a doctor who flipped his lid and self-mutilated himself. So, now I'm calling it;

- Mileena, the sexy and dangerous tranny hooker that is incredibly ugly.
- Kung Lao, in the U.S. illegally from China to assassinate Shang Tsung.
- Kitana, daughter of crime boss Kahn who gets caught up in underground fighting due to daddy issues.
- Noob, a thuggish black man skilled in martial arts that is sent to spy on the tournament and report back to Big Daddy Kahn about his daughter's doings.
- Smoke, a fighter that can't talk and has extreme lung cancer due to smoking since the age of 12.
- Kano, a one-eyed gang leader with a metal plate in his head, wanted for murdering...I don't know, someone Sonya Blade was close to?
- Big Daddy Kahn, the big-wig crime boss in town. Shang Tsung is his Number 2 man and the fights run under his control.

Regardless of what the teaser really is, it's bad.

Interesting tidbits:

Baraka will be zany. Alan Zane. Also, notice the stuff that barely got mention or relevance in the canon of the games. Shirai-ryu: perhaps something more than a memento to why Scorpion is trying to eviscerate some bald-headed clown. Also, this Scorpion I am beginning to like. He already stole Shang Tsung's facial hair.

They did their background checks: Harlequin-Ichtyosis sufferers (before a painful death) are regularly called "reptiles" - especially if you have seen the recent newsline about a year ago about a kid. I recall it was in India.

Russel Wong as Shang Tsung? This means a young Shang Tsung. His face adheres to a chinese Shang Tsung. Grow beard! Or steal it back! It is a must.


Now, why is the murder of the older Sub-Zero taking precedence to anything? Perhaps this time the Lin-Kuei warrior will be the antagonist. Which is a welcome change IMO...

ProfesserAhnka is right. I remember everyone getting excited over that teaser too.

We have a trailer that for 100% has Michael Jay White, Ian Anthony Dale, Matt Mullins, Russel Wong, Jeri Ryan,..... the majority of these people even as B movie lists cash-in millions.

This trailer has quality and direction and obvious contracted participants, the salary for alone this would well be in the 10.000's. That budged is more than enough for the MK8 trailer.

HOW ON EARTH IS THIS NOT LEGIT? Unless it is epic trolling on the MK fanbase by the combined might of the guy who played Spawn and martial artist stars.

Matt Mullins (Cage) is a comerup in the martial arts scene, and doesn't look bad at all in my opinion.

I think Scorpion might be a split personality. That would be AWESOME. 5 games of tiresome revenge fiction made good with one bold stroke.

Neat. I only know him from the Why Did I Get Married? movies. Had no idea he was in Kill Bill.

I love the more humain take on characters like Reptile and Baraka...Im excited for this, whatever it is!
