Your 'evidence' proves the majority didn't like her gameplay, not Mileena herself.

Kabal was godly gameplay wise and he's only around 17-19 on the MK leaderboards so...yeah.

Kabal was god-like for tourney players. He wasn't an easy character to pick up but he was deadly in good hands.
However the majority of people who played the game obviously used the easiest characters which helped their numbers. I can understand why Kabal, Mileena, Sheeva, Jade, etc, had low numbers. They weren't characters I would use twice if I played the game for the first time.

You say that we bring up the list everytime you "prove our nonsensical points wrong" yet you're the one making all the excuses in the world as to why people didn't play Mileena, even after getting more promo than any other character sans Scorpion and Sub Zero

No matter how different stats about Mileena show, she's still more popular than Li Mei at least.

jade is ok but majority of the females suck. kitana and sonya are ok. sareena and tanya are iight. the only characters that matter are raiden. sub, scorp, liu kang, kung lao, and Fujin. could care less about everyone else.

i only argued about that because that mileena fan made every excuse in the book as to why no one played as her and i said maybe people didnt us eher because shes ass. then she got mad and into a big argument of how everyones easier then her and this and that.

Popularity and playability is not the same thing. People might not have played Mileena alot online, but that doesn't make her any less popular. It just means that NRS needs to change her gameplay up a bit to make her more playable. And with the Variation system in MKX, that is sure to happen should Mileena return. ^^

A character can be very popular without having the gameplay to back it up with. And it's the popularity that counts the most, not which characters were played the most online. That's just one single factor.

and my response to this was that maybe they made characters like scorpion and subzero easy on purpose because they know everyone will use them. why make the two biggest icons and mk hard to use. same with kitana and sonya. the two biggest females were the easiest to use for a reason and is a reason they both lasted longer than mileena in the tournanment. because people like them more. can you just accept that fact shes ass?

But she's not ass. She's harder to use. Not all characters should be easy as hell, there's no challenge in that. If every character were noob friendly, it wouldn't be a good game.

When people play online, most of them are looking to score as many wins as possible, hence why they go for the easier characters to use so they can spam them and get the easy points. That's why Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Raiden are on top, because they are so noob-friendly.

But let's be real, "the list" may be the most realiable way for the developers to know what the fans really like. A character can be very popular in MKO, where one can create alt accounts, win polls and tournaments, but, if the character isn't used much, why bother? Whereas "the list" truly shows what the main demographic of the game likes, the people who actually BUY the game and PLAY the game likes, not some random people on forums who may not even have intentions to buy the product.

"The list" just shows the most noob-friendly characters, the ones people choose to get easy wins online.

My god, some of you guys act like this "list" is the holy grail or something. Many people play online with characters that are very easy to spam. The characters who can't have a great spam aren't played. That's why Sheeva and Strkyer aren't that used. What can you use to make your opponent unable to counter where Scorpion and Smoke have loads of artillery behind them to do such a thing.

Honestly, that's all that online does. You're either a spammer or a person that tries to use characters in other ways... And the second kind of people are rare to find whenever I play online. And why should the developers continue to go by that? So every character can spam? Come on.

Do you really think the only reason Sheeva and Stryker aren't played much is because they aren't noob friendly? lol
