Quan Chi is no. 26 out of 31 on that list... which is pretty low. However, I'm pretty sure he's going to be in MKX. Hence why your arguement is invalid. ^^

My argument?

My argument is reasonable, logical and above all valid.

Sorry, didn't mean you, but those who use this list as a means to show who will make it to MKX and who will not. ^^

Could someone actually link this so-called list that's been being talked about a lot? I'd like to see what all the hubba-ba-loo is with it. Thanks.

That is the link. I do not know how to post links any other way. I always thought it was "hullabaloo"?

Ahh, thank you.

To post links you just do < a href=" insert website link"> write anything here < /a >

Just without the spaces.

Just one little thing. Those people who try so hard to prove that the same characters are always used more, gimme some proof please. Somewhere that says the same characters that were in the top10 of the "list" were in the same position in MKDA, MKD and vsDC. I'd like to see that.

without seeing a list im pretty sure: scorpion, liu kang, sub zero, and raiden were among the top 5-8 used in those games.

No proof huh? How unexpected! So the fact that you think those characters were always the most played makes it a fact?? I hope you realise how stupid what you just said sounded.
I am asking again. Show me proof. I don't care about what you're sure of. And I'm pretty sure that Baraka was the second most played character in MKD. Do you see me presenting it as a fact?confused

then why does ed boon waste his time putting those characters in almost every game if no one uses them? why are they always among the first to be revealed EVERY time and why is it usually no question whether they are in or not? and i said they were among the top 5-8. didnt say they were 1, 2 and 3.

Mileena is awesome!

Her design has evolved the best out of all of the female characters. She's been the company's main female marketing tool because she's shocking and catches people's attention. Boon and his team knows this. They have fun with her, she's gotta be back!

Story-wise, I would love to see her in more of a leadership role like she was in Deception.

Stop the arguing..Mileena is here to stay. Accept it. She's the Queen B of Mortal Kombat now.

I love Kitana and Sonya. (Although I don't find them as exciting as they were in the 90s. Developers gotta work on them. After all, they are icons) Mileena is at the top of the female chain. Tanya's gonna have to wait :)

(I like Tanya too...but she's no where near Mileena. She's still gotta a lot to prove)
Li Mei is a damn rip off of Mileena. It should have been Mileena in MK: Deadly Alliance. (Same color, same weapon, same hair, similar spelling...Li Mei...Mileena) Like wtf? If Li Mei comes back...separate as much as possible from Mileena!

basically...I think these will be our MK Girls of MKX:
- D'Vorah
- Cassie Cage (Ugh...Sonya ripoff...BUT I'll give her a shot. She'll most likely take Sonya'a place in this game)
- Mileena
- Tanya
- Either Kitana or Jade (Probably Kitana)
- A possible 6th? I'm pretty sure they'll leave it at 5 though...if they do add a 6th...I'll be happy. -

She's use for marketing purpose because the MK team has learned to use her as "sexy villain". I mean, come on... She's practically naked when she fights on her Alt. They focus on marketing for those teens with raging sexual hormones. And that's the reason she "catches poeple's attention".

Marketing for teens? The games are rated M, so teens are not the focus group.

Definitely.

But then again, any age could be the focus. I say that because you can get a game even if you don't meet the age requirements. All you need is a parent to be with you and that's that.

Don't get me wrong, I'm aware that these M-rated games also attract teens... hell, I was one of those teens! I just thought that when a game is rated a certain way, the marketing follows with it. No, I'm absolutely no expert in marketing. :P

I just found it to be like, for example, My Little Pony - a cartoon series which focus group is children and the marketing is made for them, but grown adults are also attracted to it none the less... but I wouldn't say the marketing for MLP is focused on adults.

I could easily be wrong though.

lol I like your honesty. :) I work in Marketing and an M rating doesn't stop anyone from advertising to kids/teens. One way to sell MK to teenage boys is to use Mileena as a marketing tool.

Now..if they want to sell it to adult men (especially for nostalgic purposes) thats when Sub Zero and Scorpion (and Raiden) come into play. They are very memorable characters.

Now they've covered two demographics! ching ching! Can't sell an MK game with BoRaiCho as the frontman. Just saying lol.

There's no need to pretend you know something when you have no clue. I despise when people, especially on the internet, are suddenly experts about something that is discussed when in fact they are just spewing stuff they've picked up from a wiki page or something.

I'm just being honest. I don't know marketing, so this has been enlightening. Thank you. ^^

Yeah the marketing is what appeals to younger teens. Excessive violence and gratuitously dressed ladies are some of teen boys favorite things.

I have some hope that either Frost, Tanya, or Nitara will be in mkx. Idk about their chances but id like to see one of those girls make it.

As for the argument about most played characters.... Easy answer.... The most popular chars are for the most part most played. Only exception i can think of is Kabal... Played a lot but not top fav.

If Kitana is playable in this game, I hope they make her as fun to play with as she was in MK9. They pretty much got her fight style perfect in that game.
