But in a way, if they retcon her, I dunno why I see that happening. But it's not like she can't be rewritten in a way to be more interesting. Which I seriously hope she can be because I really liked playing as her. She had some cool moves.

And to be honest, her "brutality" fatality was one of my favorites in Deception.

I don't see Li Mei as an Earthrealm protector because

a) She is from Outworld
b) As others stated, she is a "generic Asian girl" character
c) She sucks

Either way, if Li Mei is in this game, I will repeatedly physically assault her and practice every finishing move on her. There.

As for the question of me hating the majority of characters: yes, I do dislike a good chunk of characters from MK3 to MK4. Also I didn't really like the forced conclusion that Aramgeddon was, and thus, Daegon, Taven, Argus and Delia, the dragons and Blaze really do not sit well with me. The early characters, and MKDA -D is where my tastes lie.

Well, he doesn't like Li Mei (same as me) from MKDA. And most people like the mk1 till 3 characters most and MK4 has a big load of fans too for some characters spare for Jarek.

Many people hate the MKDA and MKD new characters, I don't really mind most of them and even like Kobra and Kira, only hate Li Mei and Mocrap with my entire heart, I believe they can make something out of Bo Rai Cho and even Hsu Hoa.

But are you a big fan of 3D games or do you just like the stories/background more of the characters in MKDA/D?

Whatever gets your rocks off, man. It's your copy of the game after all...

The part that made her "neutral" was Onaga's essence, other than that she was pretty much "good".

I dunno why I find this funny.

Because I would rather have a brand new character with potential (especially in this new, darker MK game) over another generic character such as Li Mei, who is better suited to a game like Tekken or Street Fighter. It's more logical to want a new character with potential than an old character that already sucks.

As for the "she has fans" point, Hitler has fans too. Doesn't mean we should bring him back.

Yet Hitler comes back all the time in both games and movies. Always as the bad guy though, but he comes back none the less.

I would rather have a new character than Li Mei though, but this is just a personal opinion, just like you not wanting her to return is also just an opinion.

Saying Li Mei sucks is not fact or logical. It's just your opinion. I share it, but that's all it is.

And there's no such thing as a "true fan". If there were, a true fan would love EVERYTHING about Mortal Kombat. Even Li Mei.

Also, it is not only a matter of opinion. It is easy to summarize how Lei Mei, in fact, sucks, by comparing her personality/story/ending/moves/fatalities to other better, more developed characters.

You can say that she is less developed as a character than others. You can say that her gameplay is worse compared to others. You can say that her design is lacking compared to others. You can say she is less popular than others.

But "She sucks" is not a factual statement. Unless she literally does suck, as in, with her mouth...

I would also like to point out that you have chosen to call yourself a fanatic. A fanatic is untrustworthy, because his opinions and views on something is very biased. A fanatic is so biased that even when presented with facts and logic, he chooses to ignore it, because of his conviction. So your words are not to be trusted... like, at all.
