As D'Vorah pointed out, her armored Deception look looked pretty good. I'd make it a little more conservative and have it cover her body more this time around, and lose the hat/beanie.

As for an alt, maybe somerhing with a flowing, silk scarf?

Yes, I love that Samurai armor.

I actually think she should keep the bandana. It kinda gives her some personality, and almost a tomboyish appearance. In fact I think that should be her primary, and a variation of her MKDA primary should be the alt. I think I'm the only one who hated the samurai armor. If you're going to war that shit might make sense, but if you're fighting it's just going to weigh your ass down.

As long as she's half naked i'm good. Her being DOA like is her trademark, her alt in DA was her best outfit. An armor should also work.

We already have Mileena for that. She's always half naked. They would ruin Li Mei even more if they go that route.

She couldn't show any more side boob in MKDA and she was half naked in MKD, yet she was never "ruined", she doesn't have to be a "slut" like Mileena

Well, it is rather obvious that Li Mei was supposed to be Mileena, but was changed into an "original" character. Just like Tanya was supposed to be Kitana in MK4 before she was turned into her own character.

The evidence lies in their similar names, the sais, the purple theme, similar looks like the black hair and even Li Mei's MKDA alt looks like something made for Mileena.

Mileena was never intended to be in MkDA, Li Mei's alt was the most revealing costume any female wore at the time, how was that something Mileena would wear, when she wasn't a character who wore revealing costumes at the time? The black hair thing is just STUPID sinve every female at the time had black hair with the exception of Sonya, Frost and Sindel. Mileena never wore Pink at the time, her costumes were purple as opposed to Li Mei's pink costumes. The name argument is idiotic. Were Kai and Kia intended to be the same character? Was Nitara supposed to be Kitana?

No one proved anything. It was entirely speculation. And as said back then, this is something I am convinced of and I will continue to share this theory until proven wrong by OFFICIAL means. The moment NRS makes a statement whether or not Li Mei was supposed to be Mileena at first, this arguement will be settled. Not before.

I don't know what this has to do with retconning Li Mei's origins to Earthrealm.

I hope Li Mei shows up on the roster just so it pisses off certain people here. I never loved her but damn she actually had a decent story. She needs an improved design and move set.
