Well, to be fair, Mileena isn't born as a child. She was created as an adult woman who might have an immature mind, but is still an adult.

They're definitely not gonna create Mileena and Baraka's offspring. If anything they might create another female Tarkatan with different powers like the one in Baraka's ending. If I had to choose, I'd pick my Milly any day but a female Tarkatan would be interesting too.

As Mileena's fan, you are absolutely right. Raiden is central in MK, Mileena not. But we can denied the popularity of Milena, at least since MKD. She was poster girl for two main games. Her absence in MKvsDCU is a valid point, but c'mon: Jax makes the cut, Kano makes the cut, and same Baraka. And this three guys aren't amazingly popular. Neither Kung Lao or Reptile appear in MKvsDCU, and we can't say they are not iconic.

Mileena is a very important piece of MK: I'm sure at the same level than Kitana or Sonya. It's true Kitana is the most popular chickm but it's true she is the most attacked chick since MKDA in the fanbase Just one more thing: all that people who says "Mileena is a dumb, blablabla"... these people ignore her MK9 ending. If she are, cannonically, connected with Shao Kahn black essence, she is gonna make an excellente Empress. Her history could be really well develop, her MK9 ending gives her a perfect future.

Kano is one of the original 7 and Baraka was the first playable monster in the franchise. In fact I'd say Baraka is kind of iconic, not to the levels of other characters but still. Same for Jax, I think people know him as Sonya's partner and a guy with big metal arms is going to stand out and get noticed. All the characters in MKvsDCU deserved their spot. Johnny Cage is REALLY the baffling exclusion.

Well Mileena and Reptile still qualify as monsters so not really. I love Baraka but I don't consider him a character with large fanbase. If anything, he is highly recognizable but not that popular among fans. Same with Kano.

It's not apparent with either of them though. And in fact if most people had their way Reptile would probably be completely human looking again.

Although I agree that they aren't exactly the most popular characters I'd still say they were iconic. Kano especially, I think if you grew up in the 90s you probably remember him from the first MK.

Kano is a first class character, as he debuted in the original MK and is one of the original 7. His Heart Rip fatality is clearly one of the most iconic fatalities in the franchise and was probably the most shocking in MK1, no lie, everyone loved that fatality in MK1. That makes him iconic. He is HUGE among casuals because of these and other reasons.

Jax is also a popular character, he gets too much hate on MKO and other fansites but let's be real, he's pretty iconic and also huge among casuals, casual gamers who loved MK2, and did not play or didn't like post-MK3 games love Jax and do not care for Quan Chi or Kenshi or whatever. Just ask NEOGAF.

I guess the Mileena/Baraka thing is a valid point, but Boon and co. picked Baraka over Mileena for a reason. I agree with the member who said Johnny Cage was truly the shocking exclusion from MKvsDCU.
