Why does Kano get so much apathy when he is one of the original seven from Mortal Kombat 1? The other six have got big fanbases and draw reactions whether positive or negative.

He's always been the most boring out of the original seven characters, which is why he wasn't included in MKII. I want to say he's evolved so little as a character, but the same could also be said about Sonya, Liu Kang, etc.

My reason for utter apathy/disinterest is his completely trivial storyline (in my eyes.) The devs ruined any chance for him to be an interesting character (in the original timeline) by swapping him out of MK4 for Jarek.

Had he been the one to realize he was utterly screwed unless he teamed up with the heroes to stop Shinnok et al, it would've made him less of a stagnant jobber/mustache twirler. I seriously find Jarek a much more interesting character than Kano because of that last-minute change.

Being one of the original MK characters doesn't automatically make a character interesting or good for that matter. It just makes it old.

His armor looks all disheveled and put together like he just stepped off the set of the new Mad Max movie. I love it. I'm not a big Kano fan, but I thought he always had potential. The lack of tattoos is a little bit of a head scratcher though. And the size of that red uh device (?) does make me think that he's got a new cybernetic implant. He looks cool though.

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to politely disagree with the prevailing sentiment here. Yes I am looking forward to this game having a bunch of interesting new characters but if Liu Kang, Johnny Cage and Sonya are revealed at Gamescom I will be a VERY happy camper. wink

His design is just so shit, like they put no work into it. He's seriously dressed like Jax from MK9. The no shirt, army pants, boots. Hell, Kano even has metal guards all up and down his arms. Each time I look back at the pictures I see an uninspired Kano design that took little effort to create. They took no liberty to make him look older than his MK9 design. He has a shorter haircut, same reseeding hairline, and a black beard.

Just saw the pics. He does look like Jax. I am seriously in awe. Never in a million years did I expect him to make it in this game. Does Kano even have fans?confused

It was confirmed (can't remember if it was in an interview or a tweet) that there will be at least one MK4 character.

ermac will probally be the last orginal shag tsung soul is in sindel and for reptile might be a desctent
