I also think it's interesting that this Sub Zero is representing the Lin Kuei. When last we saw the clan they were all about Automation. Some shit had to have gone down.

I think it's less likely that we are getting a new Sub Zero than for one of the other two returning. I think if they were going to have a new Sub he would look younger, and not be a part of the clan. I think he would have branched off on his own campaign to bring honor to the Sub Zero legacy.

From the evidence I have seen it has got to be Bi-Han. Noob seemingly died in Mortal Kombat 9 but he is a wraith so probably can come back like Scorpion can. Scorpion accuses Sub Zero of being a murderer while Sub Zero maintains his innocence in Mortal Kombat X in the intro before they fight in the Sony Press Conference. In Mortal Kombat 9 story mode Bi Han also said he was innocent just before Scorpion killed him. Also Scorpion does not accept Kuai Lang as "Sub Zero" and does not seem to acknowledge him responsible for the murder of his family.

Its probably a new Sub-Zero.

Hope he'll familiarize himself with the two brothers who took the name and learn more of the cryomancer race.

Plus he can ally himself with Sareena.

Elsewhere, Ermac unzips his skin to reveal King Jerrod.

Reiko then walks in and unzips his skin to reveal Shao Kahn.

Then they all unzip their skins revealing they were all just brooms all along, which clatter to the ground.

I just hope there is a good Sub-Zero and NOT evil!

Yeah, the character who's appeared in every MK game, has his own spin off and is important enough to MK that even after he's killed off, some variation of him has to appear.

I don't want to harp on about this kind of stuff, but Sub Zero is one of the most respected characters by NRS. You might not agree with how they treated him in MK9 but Kuai Liang went on an ass kicking rampage in that game. Ermac, Noob, Scorpion, Sektor, Goro, Kintaro, Kano all got beat by him. Wanna see no respect?

Reptile, Baraka, Shang Tsung, Jade. All of those characters were treated poorly by NRS. NRS does not mistreat Sub Zero. He's a series icon, the fact that they are going in a direction you do not like with him does not indicate a lack of respect.

Sub Zero fans have an amazing victim complex: its Boons fault, he doesn't love Sub Zero like he does Scorpion. Its Boons fault, he has no respect for Sub Zero. Its Boons fault, he doesn't know the story. Could it be that the creator of MK likes his second most popular character, second most iconic character, respects that character and just MAYBE wants to go a different direction with the character? Sub Zero had his all-singing, all-dancing ass-kicking arc in MKD-MKA, he even killed Scorpion at the end of it. Maybe Sub Zero fans can just chill and see what direction they go in with him?

Seriously, the victim complex is startling. Out of sheer interest, are any Sub Zero fans also Liverpool fans?

Yes Kuai kicked butt in mk9, turning him cyber will forever be a horrible sour point to me, and i dont care what anyone says. To me it was a kick in the gut. I really hope that this sub zero is just Mileena behind the mask pretending to be him and seizing control of the Lin kuai. I feel like it is.

Noob Saibot must stay Noob Saibot FOREVER, never turn back into Sub-Zero, and good Sub-Zero must be dead. Scorpion must be good for once and Sub-Zero must be evil as ICE feels more like it can be used by evil.. (yeah I also dislike Iceman sorry)

Someone said Hydro, which could be a technical possibility. The only issue with this in a matter of speaking is that Hydro was cannon only to the comic book Blood & Thunder so this would be his first actual game appearance. He could summon water either scalding hot or freezing cold I read somewhere cannot remember where though and he was Bi Han's ally in the comics so that is a possibility.

Yet I believe this Sub-Zero is Bi Han all the way. Everyone died at the end of MK9 with the exception of Sonya, Raiden, Johnny Cage and Quan Chi. Scorpion can keep coming back since he is already dead anyway and I chose Bi Han because he too is already dead. He is a wraith which is an evil spirit. So why couldn't Bi Han come back to his old Sub-Zero form? So I'm going with Bi Han here.
