Out of this fight between Jade and Mileena I would say Jade would kick Mileena's butt.

While both girls suffered from retcons related to Edenian subplot Jade came out with less harm to her story and personality...though she died. But is it better to be alive and awful or to be dead and awesome? Besides, "no one stays ead in MK".

Also, I like Jade's gameplay more. Mileena is just awkward to play in complete contrast with her MKD incarnation.

I picked Jade because she has cooler names for moves, her outfit is green and she's one of those protagonists everybody likes seeing.

I didn't like Mileena in MK9 because she moans way too much! I know her costumes are supposed to make her look sexy, but they shouldn't have taken it too far by making her sound like she just orgasmed! Her face, both teeth and orange-yellow eyes, now looks terrifying which is good. I like Mileena, but I like Jade better.

Jade. Her plot emerged virtually intact from UMK3. Mileena loses for stupid retcon purposes.

Mileena's much more fun to play, but that's about it really. I enjoyed her new uber-crazy personality, but it came at an unnecessary cost.

Compared to Mileena, I find Jade to be boring and dull.

Sure Mileena was immature (vastly so) but at least you either loved her or you hated her.

I vote Mileena, though it makes perfect sense to me why she would lose to Jade, particularly after MK9. That said, Jade is still objectively the inferior character. I'm not biased either, Jade is counted among my favorites right next to Mileena. Had Mileena not been handled so poorly in MK9, she'd win without a doubt. Deception was soooo kind to Mileena, hehe, and I'd say it was one of the best versions of any character in any MK game, far superior to any of Jade's appearances. On the other hand, I think MK9 has brought us one of the best Jade's in terms of personality, looks, etc... But her gameplay is clunky to say the least. Mileena still wins in that department, despite her character derailment. As a Jade lover, I have to admit that she is a fairly hollow character, but as a Mileena lover I have to admit that she's been thoroughly mistreated by horny game developers.... Still, I love the bit of wit they gave her in this game. What's really going to piss me off is when whichever one of them wins this round loses to Johnny Cage, who is just awful.

I'm starting to feel left out here, am I the only one who likes Mileena's persona in MK9?

I think the child-like nature complements her loyalty to Shao Kahn, as many young girls tend to cling to their fathers. I also like how highly sexual she is this time around. It helps in her ability to deceive others. I especially love her fighting stance, which charades a waltz.

I think NRS did a good job with her forbthe beginning of this generation. I do hope, however, that she does mature as the series progresses.

If you asked me this question before MK9 I would definetly 100% voted for Mileena. Jade prior to MK9, was really dull in my opinion. She was just there, and I was pretty upset that they left out Kitana in Deception in favor of Jade. Mileena was seductive, I loved her look, her win pose in Deception was so amazing and cynical and seductive, I loved her so much. But now...I can't stand her. I like her voice actor, but she's so, how do I put this lightly? Stupid! I hate this new character. I hate her having to be a child. It broke my heart seeing such a pretty neat character become a child with ginormous magumbos! This isn't the Mileena I grew up with. I'm stuck in nostalgia here, but I'm sure there are many people who dislike this new Mileena. Like someone posted earlier, if this was prior to MK9, Mileena would have won hands down, no contest.

Jade on the other hand, has grown on me. I really like her voice actor, it was a pretty exotic voice and it fit her well. I like her MK9 primary outfit and she's so much fun to play as. ( Honestly, I think I'm just bad with Mileena because I can't play as well as I can with Jade). Jade desrves this. She has really ranked up and become an exotic beauty, that I think Mileena should take some pointers from. So this one is for Jade (and Jaded-Raven of course)!

I also loved that one contraversial topic about JADE"S VICTORY POSE! That was hilarious, so much hatred and sexism and "she's a stripper now trolololol..." Funniest topic ever!

Sorry to bud in, but I think one of the things that irks me is that they still try to keep the whole"Kitana and Mileena are twins" thing on us. They keep pushing that on us, like they want to keep the original storyline, but they don't. Maybe it would have worked if they weren't twins because then we wouldn't have to cling to the past timeline and how they acted back then. I'm sure I heard a facepalm go around the world whenever Kitana said, "She looks like me!" *gasp* really? And I heard a double facepalm whenever Smoke said, " Kitana turns away from Shao Kahn, so you attack her?" I wish they would get rid of the twin thing. It doesn't work in this new timeline.

You guys know that the voice actor who voiced Mileena in this game also voiced Kitana right? Yeah she's good.

Sidenote: She also voiced Poison in Street Fighter X Tekken. Her name is Karen Strassman.

My opinion is more mixed than outright dislike. If this was my first introduction to Mileena I'd like her how she is... I actually think Mileena in MK9 is one of the rare examples of a childish female character being done right. She's not the overdone "creepy little girl" type and not the "manic loudmouthed whiner" type. The reason I call it a character derailment is Deception. I was very fond of the more level headed, manipulative liar we had in that game whose sexual behavior came off as her really enjoying what she was doing in a way that was unsettling to the viewer.... In MK9 the sexual aspect is more or less her saying "I won, now look at my tits" as opposed to "I just chewed your head off lustfully". The childlike behavior is not what I wanted or expected, but it has it's own merits. I think setting her up as a childish character now gives her room to change and be dynamic in the future, even if it means right now she's not the best Mileena she could be.

Also, I love how close this match is.

What you see with Mileena is a dramatic irony, when the audience knows something the characters don't.

For us, we can see that Mileena and Kitana are very different in appearance. But for the characters, it is not meant for them to see all the differences. They are to only know that there is a similarity between Kitana and Mileena.

I'm watching the numbers and their changing ever so slowly. Why is that? Every other time I refresh a page that has the poll results, they are changing. One minute its Jade at 49.0% and Mileena at 50.9% and another time its a different number for both and it just keeps switching back and forth.

Hmmm earlier Jade had a pretty good lead, and now......not so much?
