Mileena.

Love Jade, but i'm going for Mileena just because she was one of my favorite characters on MK2. The Man Eater fatality was a classic. Too sad she's like a dumb-freaking-out and children-minded on the last MK.

Now Jade has the lead? How delicious.

She's not really "childish" per se. I think a more accurate assessment of her personality would be "playful", as a predator plays with her food. She's a crazy sadist, who probably derives some sort of sexual thrill from slaughtering her enemies. I love that about her.

She's always had loyalty to her father. The problem with her portrayal in this game is not her sadism. It's that they removed the jealousy and loathing she had for her sister, Kitana. If they had added this amazing lust for bloodshed to the jealousy and deviousness of her previous persona, then she would be an amazingly deep character, while also being satisfyingly crazy emotive during battle.

It's just that Milly and Kitty had such a rich history together, and that was part of what made them amazing. They wiped it all out. Yes, they did an amazing job adding her sadism. But by removing the things that made her great before, it's like taking one step forward and two steps back.

Now, she's got really nothing pulling her story forward for future games. She's just another one of Kahn's minions. A crazy awesome one, but still, just a minion.

I was just thinking how all of Kahn's minions in MK2011 were all oddly loyal to him. I miss everyone gunning to be ruler of Outworld.

Except maybe Shang Tsung,and that's a BIG maybe,none of Shao Kahn's servant had balls and most importantly charisma to be the Emperor of Outworld. ESPECIALLY in MK9,where all these villains act the same punching bag role,were stripped of their interesting personalities(not all of them,but most),even badasses like Ermac were reduced to that degree.

Which is why I believe in MK10 Outworld will be in chaos,as none of the minions of Shao Kahn are "better" or "deserving" to be Emperor or Empress of Outworld. I can't believe people suggesting Mileena to be Empress of Outworld with the personality that she was given in MK9. I mean,if I was Goro or some Centaurion,I would just say "fuck this,if this 9 year old mind freak can become Empress,why shouldn't I?". And from there,the civil war will start.

Which is PERFECT for Quan Chi and Shinnok,they can just walk in with their Netherrealm armies and take over chaotic realm.

Great idea for the mk4 reboot plot! Also i voted for mileena,not really for her character as much as her moveset,not like i use jade anyway.Also who else wants to see some of the costumes take a more klassik approach in future MKs???

I like both, but I prefer Kabal, Unique look, fun game play and its cool that hes sometimes good sometimes not.

Anyway, as much as I hate how overpowered Kabal is in MK2011, I still like the character. On the other hand, I never cared for Jax... So yeah, Kabal.

Glad to see Jade kick Mileena's ass. I hope she can survive the Cage fans...

Voting for jax because he was a great character in MK2... before Kabal even existed. Plus I never liked the handicapped Darth Vader with hook swords.

Kabal. Original character, and my favorite.

Kabal because I liked him in MK3, MKD, & MK2011. I only liked Jax in MK2011.

Anyhoo, I vote Kabal. Jax has gotten really lame lately. I don't really care for him anymore. Kabal is a rare sight to see, but his super fucking awesome moveset makes up for it every time.

Plus, I really enjoyed seeing him without the burns. Pretty sweet.

Wow, Jade won? What a crazy back and forth matchup that was! Glad to see Jade pull out the win. I think that I might just keep voting for her.

As for the current matchup, wow, another tough one! I like Jax alot, and they've really turned him in to the powerhouse of MK, which is unique to this series. I dig that.

As for Kabal, he's got the speed, a cool look, and while they've never really taken advantage of his story the way that I think they could (he could be a really cool "wandering swordsman" type that could be good or evil, instead of just another Black Dragon thug), he's still got a lot of unique attributes as well.

In the end, I went with Kabal. Jax's story as basically being Sonya's support/rescuer/fellow Kano hater ran its course a long time ago, and while I just got done saying that Kabal's story isn't great, I think that Jax's may actually be worse.

Both have a lot of future potential, but the mask, the hook swords, and the overall potential for great things push Kabal ahead, if only by a nose.

I don't expect her to win over Cage though. Too many like Cage compared to Jade. But she had a good run at least. :)

Jax and Kabal are both awesome characters, but I think Kabal is just that tad more awesome, so I voted for him.

Be a tough match, especially since one of Jade's moves is derived from Cage.


Anyway, I voted for Jax. Both characters are great. I just always saw Kabal as fairly undefined. All his moves are very random and don't really flow. Super speed, blasting plasma out of his eyes, throwing blades that travel on the ground. Pretty out there. Not that it's bad, I just see Jax as a little more complete. Plus he's so much better without all that ghetto shit they tried to pour on him.

Kabal. Appreciate the slightly-retconned background with him being Stryker's fellow law enforcment officer, and it was nice that we got to see him interact with Kano, and find out the cause of his burns. Gets props for having a dedicated intestine-oriented fatality, something long overdue.

Jax gets some respect for me for losing the ghetto crud and getting back to his classic moveset. He had some nice moments in Story, and the stogie totally suits him. But he's just...Jax. Sonya's partner. Yep. He's stale and everyone knows it. I like him, but come on NRS - work wonders for the guy like you did for Sonya. Make him worthy of future appearances.

I seriously have no idea how Jade beat Mileena. Mileena is a way more developed character. Jade has only been in like three games. Fuck this poll. I seriously doubt that Jade actually won this round. I am making it my personal mission to kick Jade out of this compeition. Fuck you Jade!

I've noticed Jade had a HUGE silent fan base when MK9 first came out. I'm not surprised she won. And I think Mileena probably lost some fans with her new development. After MK9, I prefer Jade over Mileena myself...
