As much as I respect and love Sub-Zero, I'm going to vote for Frost.

She just captured my attention so much in Deadly Alliance, and I loved her gameplay. The concept of an arrogant student who betrays her teacher really appeals to me as well because she's the polar (teehee! pun!) opposite of Li Mei, another student in that story.

Besides, I can't see whats wrong with her having the same Kori powers as Sub-Zero. Plenty of characters manipulate fire with their special moves and use it distinctively, what's wrong with Frost doing the same?

Subby all the way! I honestly hate that the idea of Frost was conceived. On top of that she was such an under-developed character. Perhaps if Netherrealm Studios were to further develop her then perhaps my opinion will change. She just seems to generic, if she gets spruced up with originality then you will have my attention. She is like the female version of Noob, just not a wraith.

Nope. I fully believe Noob Saibot will beat out Scorpion in this round. Come on people Noob is waaaay better than Scorpion.

As for this round, of course my favorite character Sub-Zero will get the vote. Frost wouldn't even exist without Sub-Zero.

Hopefully, after Noon Saibot gets rid of Scorpion, Sub-Zero is eliminated by Quan Chi in Round 3.

Cyber Sub-Zero.

While I dislike regular Sub-Zero for him being boring "Marty Sue" character, MK9 put a new spin on him, possibly giving him new direction. Though I expect that NRS will chicken out and revwert him back, giving how much shit Sub-Zero fanboys were giving about him being turned into cyborg. However, I prefer not to lost my hope for Sub staying in his cyber form for at least one more game. If he would be reverted, most likely he will once again become boring marty suish character who always in the plot, but doesn't play any important role in the story ar all. Much like Scorpion, who essentially is glorified secondary character.

As for Frost - she need much improvement, when it comes to her storyline, but I don't see farfetched existence of the two cryomancers in the MK game. After all, it was established that there were the whole race of ryomancers and it is only natural that there exist more than one ice master, something that people who whine about Frost being Sub's clone often (always?) keep forgetting. Her gameplay was not bad and in MKDA she was one of the best characters.

But as of now I vote for CSZ since I believe at the moment he has more potential than Frost.

To all the people stating this competition is rigged so Scorpion and Sub Zero will win: you do realize they are the most popular characters in MK right? This competition was just set up for fun, so don't take it too seriously.

Kudos to the MKO admins for their efforts in getting people involved with this site again. I started coming here a year before MK9 released when there was a lot of activity. Recently it seemed with no MK game on the horizon -and some unpopular decisions which don't need to be rehashed here- this site was dying. Now it seems like it has been revitalized. Way to go.

Oh no, I'm not complaining against the admins at all. It's a great competition and of course it's all in good fun.

I was mostly pointing out the fact that a lot of people on MKO tend to talk about how the MK1-MK3 characters are overused and how the MK4-MKA characters never really got much of a chance and how they're sick of seeing Scorpion, Liu Kang and his turkey calls and the whole Kano/Sonya thing etc etc.

Yet when push comes to shove, who's left standing after round one? All of the MK1 and MK2 casts minus Reptile and all of the MK3 cast minus Nighwolf, Sheeva and Motaro.

Now, I'm sure that there are a lot of people on MKO that would simply rather see the MK1-3 casts over and over and over and over and over again, but I guess that I'm just a little surprised at the fact that so many people seem to want to see something new, yet it's almost always the old that gets voted to the top. This voting process is becoming like a strange social experiment right now lol.

Nooooo. I don't want Sub-Zero to go. I realize he may not win, but I don't want him losing to Scorpion of all people. The only reason Scorpion is even popular is because of "Get over here". That's it. If he wouldn't have been given that little one liner Scorpion would be an afterthought. Guaranteed.

Hell, I even somewhat think that Boon turned Sub-Zero cyber in this game to give yet more popularity to Scorpion because he knew that in comparison Scorpion just failed. I don't hate Scorpion at all though, like many do on this site. I just feel that him being NRS logo is a bit ridiculous. I mean really.

Personally I wouldn't have went with the name Netherrealm studios either though. I think that OutWorld Studios sounds like a much better name, and it has just as much recognition as the netherrealm does. That's one good reason why I would vote Scorpion down though. It is a bit of a hipster view I guess, but I wouldn't vote down any of the other popular characters, just him. It's more or less because he's shoved down our throats though. He didn't deserve that spot on the logo, no single character does. Not even Sub-Zero as much as I love him.

Boon is biased, so of course Scorpion gets the Hollywood treatment. I just wish they would develop more characters like Nightwolf and Cage. Both were superb in 2011 so I would like Boon to stop completely focusing on my two faves lol

That's probably because more or less every character bracket so far has had a character who's history and fanbase stands to them longer than the opponent they've faced. Like seriously, what chance did Khameleon have against Baraka? And likewise what chance had Moloch against Scorpion? Weaker characters from newer games stood up against old timers who are more familiar. Obviously the newer characters would be eliminated.

The matches were set up so the weaker characters went up against more popular characters. If you recall, Reptile and Ermac has been the closest vote we've had so far, and that's because both were popular. I wouldn't use this competition as a way to wager if fans particularly like one character, we're being asked to vote by prefference and in all fairness a lot of the character matches so far have had very predictable matches, solely because one of those characters would have been notoriously considered inferior.

i voted for frost. she is the next sub-zero. sub -zero could miss a game and i wouldn't mind because frost could be devloped more. sure she uses ice but i think if she uses ice in a different way she could become more popular and more used.
