It is so easy to hate Scorpion for his one-dimensional revenge shtick. I don't blame anyone for it. I can understand why people are tired of him.

But there have been signs aplenty that he can and should move onto greater things. Deception was the best he'd been in ages.

And as much as I enjoyed Nightwolf giving him a verbal smackdown in MK9, Scorpion got some respect points from me for taking Raiden's words under serious consideration. My jaw dropped when he started to walk away before Quan pulled his predictable shenanigans. History repeated itself however, but I can't say I'm displeased with it. That's how we get Noob, after all.

Everyone knows he needs better direction than mere revenge; it's depressing to see him so completely under Quan Chi's thrall. I'll wager he breaks free again next time - but I'd appreciate him letting Quan know he's not to be trifled with. Maybe he can find something better to do once he takes him down again, or even better....maybe, for once, he can just walk away.

Moloch, on the other hand....eh. The owl from the concept art was awesome. If he ever comes back, there's his intro. I hope maybe one day he gets another shot.

Despite my resenting you calling me a hater, yes I dislike Liu Kang as well, and for similar reasons.

The difference between the two, however, is that Liu Kang actually went away went his time ran up. To this day, I still say he should've stayed dead, and I hope he remains dead this time after MK2011.

Furthermore, Liu Kang was glorified only for a moment, then he was placed back into the crowd of MK characters, with his icon status following him. They should do the same with Scorpion.

As much as I love Sub-Zero, I feel he needs to step back from the limelight as well. Scorpion and Subby aren't the only icons in the franchise, so they shouldn't be the only ones who should be plastered up front. Thank goodness for Syco statues, right? lol

I have noticed something.

We who have chosen NOT to vote on Scorpion have given explanations on why we haven't chosen him, though we really have no reason to defend ourselves. It is our opinion, it is our choice and people should respect that...

He is just generally the better character. Better storyline, better appearances, better gameplay. Frost, as she is now, is just a Subbie clone with a bad story. Hopefully she will be revamped in the next game.
