I voted based on seniority once. I voted that way because both characters were equal in my eyes. Everything that I based my voting on was even among both characters. So I voted because of seniority.

Voted Sonya Blade. Hate her MK9 costume, loved her in MKvsDC.

Jarek was bland, and I wish they'll give those rope moves he had in MKA to Mavado.

When we first met Jarek in MK4, he was a Kano rip-off, no doubt about it. He had a bland and boring appearance and was more or less a Kano clone. There was nothing interesting about him at all, not his story, not his looks, not his gameplay.
Then he returned in MK Armageddon and then he had some more unique moves, but this time his moves were copied from Mavado. Not that Jarek had stolen Mavado's moves, but that he like Mavado uses elastic rope in his special moves, something that was unique to Mavado. He got a new look, but neither of his outfits made any sense. They did not represent him as a character, they did not look cool, they just looked like a mash of odd things put onto him. It didn't even look like clothes or even armour.

Sonya on the other hand is the femme fatale blonde bomb babe of Mortal Kombat, kicking ass with her long strong legs which can split you in half. She has an interesting story, her outfits have been... questionable, but interesting and they looked cool, her moves are awesome and she is one of the characters I have always enjoyed playing as. Though I would still like for her to have a white top underneath that vest of hers in her recent appearance, and for her to lose the heels on those boots, she still looked awesome!

For no real reason other than the leg grab was my favorite move when I was a little kid. I played the shit out of her in MK1 and 3, but she's not really a favorite of mine.

A lot of the people on MKO remind me of the kind of people who would like a band until they got popular or played on the radio and then drop them. Always trying too hard to be different.
