Ashrah. I don't want to see another character whose storyline revolves around trying to bring back her race of people. Although, I always thought that someone would be turned into a Werewolf because of her.

Damn i second fav female is out...now ashrah against nitara! I like both of them a lot but i voted for ashrah.

Neither of them deserve to go to the 2nd round, imo. Tanya, Li Mei, or Fujin should have been put in this match up if they were looking to boost one of the newer characters, on the basis of multiple appearances/fan request.

I guess Ashrah, since she has more ties to other characters. Nitara's just really out there.

Nitara <3. My absolute favorite new character from MK:DA.

I've been waiting for this round since I hardcore love these two characters. They were easily two of the best additions to MK. It was a really difficult choice, but in the end I chose Ashrah.

The reason I like Ashrah more is because of her storyline and (other stuff but we'll get to that later) I think its really interesting just to see that she's slaughtering all these characters thinking she's doing good. I've talked about it a million times ( and probably will a million more) but she could have stopped slaughtering after she left the netherrealm, but she didn't. Why is that? Its because she wants to be pure and the sword is tricking her into thinking she's becoming pure by doing that. But how far will she go to become Pure? what if the sword wants more? What if it starts tricking Ashrah into thinking the way for her to become pure is to slaughter Earthrealm heroes. We saw what it did to Ermac, why can't it do more? I mean, it is an "evil" sword, if you will, after all. I think it's something that can be explored and possibly further help Ashrah's storyline. Maybe Ashrah is destined to never leave the Netherrealm. Like I said, she thinks she's doing good, but in the end when the sword doesn't want her anymore, she'll be right back in hell for the countless bloodshed she did. Ok, I'm going a little to fanboy on this so I'll stop. But overall, she was a great addition to the roster and I welcome her with arms wide open.

And I like the fact that her attire isn't too provacative. It wouldn't really make any sense if she wants to see the light in a slutty flesh pit costume (this is the other stuff btw...) so I hope NRS takes that into consideration when they create her in a new MK game. I'll bet my cookies they WILL put her in a future game.

For Nitara all I have to say is, Please take those wings out of her, maybe utilize them for special moves and fatalities, but they're an eyesore. *sigh* I could go on and on, but no one really wants to here the rants of an old crone.

But I voted Ashrah. I like these two equally and I think they're the best two characters introduced in the 3d games. I picked Ashrah just 'cause I've never liked vampires in the first place. I also loved her look. If she comes back in the series wearing nothing but the hat I wouldn't be surprised, though...

Nitara used to be in the lead by a landslide, but it's nice to see that it's tied perfectly at 50% now. I am going to bed and I wonder what the standings will look like in six hours.

Wow, Nitaras leading by like 1%, I didn't realise people liked Ashrah.

I voted Nitara because shes a Vampire, ashrah does have a decent storyline but otherwise nothing of interest.

I really don't care for EITHER of these characters, but Ashrah just had, to me, an idiotic storyline, plus she's from that bastard of a game Deception, so I had to vote for Nitara.... hope the vampire loses in the second round though.

I respectully refuse to vote for/against either of them. My reasons being that Ashrah has a more badass storyline, but Nitara is just more of a badass in general. I'm hoping for a tie. Also, inb4 quarter final/semi final/final rounds are all male pallette swap ninja on male pallette swap ninja matchups. (not that I really have a problem with that)

Ashrah is a cool character with a real nice background story, some cool outfits and some... admittedly, her gameplay is really sucky. The only original move she has is that light spark thing and mos tof the time, it's useless because she is so easy to read. The torpedo move is like Raiden's, the spin in place is Kung Lao's and the light from above is Kai's. I have never liked to play as her and that huge hat of hers looks so incredibly awkward. Her alternate outfit is clearly the better looking one, not because she shows more skin, but it is just alot more stylish and detailed while her main outfit is just boring looking... and that hat... so useless! But overall, Ashrah is a cool character.

Nitara, however, is not just cool, but plain awesome. She too lack has some stolen moves, the spinning heel kick being Tanya's and the spitting blood is like Reptile's spitting acid. But her character overall is just so much more awesome, imo. Both her outfits, her background story, the fact she was the first playable character with wings, that she's a vampire... She is one of my favourites of the next gen roster.

So my vote goes to Nitara.

For the record, I've liked vampires since 2001, and I do NOT like Twilight.

With that said, I vote Nitara.

Nitara for gameplay reasons, yet Ashrah's not too bad herself and I enjoyed her storyline, I still like Nitara better; yet when she returns I hope to see some new moves!

Ashrah have interesting storyline and one of the best female designs in the series. But she has a signature move stolen from Raiden and most of her development had happened in MKA - and naturally didn't lead anywhere. Her fighting styles were not very interesting.

Nitara, also, has awesome design (though it is more traditional for the fighting game females). I especially like her second costume and I also like the fact that she has wings. Her fighting styles were awesome and in general she was one of the best characters in MKDA. I loved her role in the story. And since I like vampires in general, my vote goes for Nitara.
