Motaro... I love Greek mythology, and despite that they destroyed what he used to be back in MK3 by chopping off his horse body, at least that got him noticed.
I don't remember anything special about Goro that made him be the topic of various conversations... I really cannot remember the last time people had a serious conversation on this site about Goro.
And it appears that I am the first to vote for this one... How about people not vote and just let this slide, m'kay?Edit: Damn... I thought that was cool to see 100%

I'm voting for Motaro.
For the past twenty years I have always thought of Goro as being an annoying, underdeveloped, oh I'm dead now I'm not dead, weakling. In a similar time frame, I have always thought of Motaro as being pretty cool. Recent events of Motaro being a minotaur or a thunder God's play toy aren't enough of a deterrent to make me appreciate this four legged baddie any less than the four armed loser known as Goro.

Goro.
Motaro was cool in MK3-MKT and that's it.
Goro has been cool since day 1 of MK's existence.
And that's all I care to write about it this time...

Goro. When i first went up against him in MK1 the first thought that came to my head was "Well I'm F!@#$*".
I would also really like to see these too fight in a future MK game in a cinematic fight scene. That would be so epic.

Motaro!
My favorite sub-boss of the series. Goro just became funny to me by MK4 when he was all floppy in 3d.. After that point none of the boss characters really had the same impact they did in the 2d games. I pity Motaro now, having lost his legs, then lost his role completely. I'd love nothing more than a Motaro comeback... But now he's dead and one of the few that isn't a zombie minion...... *sigh*

I picked goro, and it was too bad i didn't get to play motaro in mk9 but raiden kicked the crap out of him doing his flying push saving johnny cage.

I think Motaro should be given another chance with his 4 legs, not 2; and include his MK3/MKA movesets. Also, since there's 3 Shokans, and being that Kintaro/Sheeva are somewhat better than Goro IMO, I pick Motaro. He had the perfect quick teleport/fireball move, and was more of a challenge since projectiles couldn't be used on him, and you KNOW that if he had made it into MK9 they'd have FINALLY utilized his tail for kombat/fatalities, and would've made 1 cute baby lol.
MOTARO SHOULD WIN TO SHOW OUR SUPPORT FOR HIM, AND THAT WE MISSED HIS 4-LEGGED A$$ IN MK9! IT'S NEVER TOO LATE FOR DLC!!!

I voted Goro. But I like both.
Goro. He developed over the original timeline from a brutal enforcer-type for Tsung to a wise leader figure for his people, and made peace with Kung Lao. How unfortunate MKD came and stabbed his character something fierce. He really needs some screen time to show us why we loved him in the first place, rather than just showing up to be the obligatory sub-boss, like he did in MK9.
Motaro's good and all - and hey, now he officially gets killing Cage during MK3 to his credit - but I still prefer the original Shokan.

Motaro, that bastard used to dodge fireballs off from him. And was tough as fuck in MK3 timeframe. My favorite sub-boss all time.
Motaro.
Goro was a cult classic until MK4, but he was generally shallow. Only after MK Gold he received personality and become awesome...only to be ruined again in MKD with unexpected (and unneeded) bertrayal of Kitana. In MK9 he once again become broing servant, though this time he miracolously managed to stay alive. I never liked him for his appearance either - Kintaro always looked much more interesting. Though gameplay-wise Goro wasn't bad, but everything that he could do, could have been done by either Kintaro or Sheeva.
Motaro always impressed me. He became my favorite subboss in the classics thanks to his slightly more elaborated tactic, rather than just "walking on you to make a PUNCH" and his unique appearance. In MKA he was less unique, but still pretty memorable. It is a shame that NRS was unable to realize Motaro as a subboss in MK9, but well...at least he wasn't completely written off of the story. In general I think that Goro's time have passed and Motaro still have enough potential to be realized as an unique and awesome character.
