Actually, I'm not sure. On the night that the poll ended when I went to sleep (which was 1 AM AST), Ermac was at 50.1% and Subz was at 49.8%.

It seems like Noob will take the bronze metal of this poll. Ermac is most probably on 2nd place and getting silver and then Subbie on the first place.

So it seems it is all "ninjas" on the top three which I know many didn't want to see... but really, what did they expect? I know, it would be cool to see something different happening, but this was pretty much predictable.

The only two things I found unpredictable was Jade making it so far and Scorpion losing so fast. I knew there were other like me who didn't want Scorpion to be on top, but I never imagined there would be enough to actually make it happen. And I am really surprised that Jade beat Mileena! Mileena is also a favourite of mine and I really thought she would have alot more supporters, even with the blow she got in the newest MK.

To think that one single game appearance can change so much.
Well, don't know why I am so surprised though. The newest MK made me like Nightwolf, Smoke suddenly became a favourite of mine and it brought Cyber Sub-Zero on the table which is also one of my favourites. I have always like Sub-Zero, but I have never played him as much as I have in this game, both versions of him.

As said many times though, this poll is just for fun. It's brought alot of discussions with it, some good, some not so good, but it brought some life into this forum and there's been alot of newcomers while it's been going on which is always cool to see.

I must admit, I've enjoyed it.

Advice from me to you guys who have posted more than 5 times in the last 2 hours...

Online forums like these are a great chance for people with same interests to come together and chat chat chat. It's a phenomenal thing and I'm a big fan.
However, forums are like tequila, if you have too much of it, it can really mess you up. It can also be very addicting.

You guys should spend less time on here. Go outside and enjoy this beautiful world. Life is extremely short and you gotta live. Go to the park for some fun with your siblings, cousins, pets, friends or by yourself. If your old enough, drink a little alcohol with some peers and have a blast. Do something fun that does not involve a computer or electronic.

I believe that spending too much time on here can really damage your self esteem and lead to a depression. When I was younger, I would spend hours and hours on this site. It did those things to me, so I got away and I'm so glad I did.

You can still visit the site but you shouldn't spend this much time on it. I hope you understand that I'm giving this advise from the bottom of my heart and mean absolutely no disrespect.

I had that with World of Warcraft, actually. It was such a great escape from real life which at that time was really suckish. And because of it, nothing in my life improved until I finally pulled the plug and took my time to solve those things.

I've been visiting this site since Midway Arcade Collection and UMK3 on Xbox live debued. I was only here looking up fatalities(etc.), unlocking secret characters, and kombat kodes. Made my very first post this year during the tournament

I still think the matches in the tournament should've been randomized.

It would've been more fun see to different characters go head to head, instead of having obvious "iconic" matchups, and one-sided wins.

Yep, Noob taking bronze was something I completely expected, especially with the all the 'hate' Raiden got at his new appearance. I personally voted for Raiden but it doesn't really matter to me at this point, since I don't really like either of them too terribly much (I dislike Noob a lot more, though).

I imagine that Ermac did get silver, but he was winning when I went to bed the night (... morning) that the poll ended. It was at 1 AM and I live in Alaska, so anything goes there, I suppose. Oh well, I'm just really happy to see my favorite make it that far. I never expected that. ^-^ And, yes, all 'ninjas' in the top three, but I personally think that they deserve it. They're all great characters in their own ways. (and I say this about Noob too even though I don't like him. I'm a strange person.) I would have liked seeing Kung Lao up here, but I knew he was going to get booted.

Jade beating Mileena was completely surprising, I agree. I had no idea what even happened there- I assumed with all the publicity Mileena has gotten revolving around MK9 that she would have a gigantic fanbase. Why else would NRS try to make her so popular? She was one of the 'main' characters in advertising- apparently she's the sexiest female character? And I disagree, I think Jade is more attractive than Mileena, but I guess NRS assumed that most people liked Mileena because she hardly wore clothing, or something. I don't know. Scorpion losing was... odd. I was rooting for him, personally, because I like him so much more than I like Noob. Oh well. It wasn't a huge deal to me, but the forums pretty much caught fire at both of those outcomes. x_x

MK9 is what got a lot of people into MK. For me, it's what reintroduced me to it, and I'm glad I picked up a controller and gave it a try, because it's become my favorite fighting game. It's fun, has a story that is a 2-hour movie by itself, and has a lot of blood and gore. Great things in my opinion. So, honestly, I'm not surprised so many people took the recent game into the most consideration, and a lot of people on the forum acted like it was pretty much all that mattered in the polls (I disagreed, but..). The new MK made me grow a serious and almost obsessive attachment to Ermac which is bad and I need to get a hold of myself before I do something stupid, and it also made me like Nightwolf, because looking back at his other game appearances, he was kind of boring until MK9. Smoke was my first favorite out of MK9 due to story mode- I thought he was adorable, the way he acted was really interesting to me. :P I also started liking Rain a lot more after I got the DLC because his moves are just short of absolutely hilarious.

This poll was fun and interesting and I'm glad I decided to start following it. The conversations about the characters were usually well thought-out and it was a great insight to other's thoughts... especially when they had a different opinion than what you had. It's been pretty awesome, and I've been able to share my MK opinons with people who actually understand what I'm talking about. The most my other friends get out of it from me is 'Rain is hot and Ermac is the best character ever', apparently. xD Also, 'Jade is a pole dancer'.

Totally agreed. The first round really didn't seem fair at all. It was just to wipe away all the not so iconic characters away, or so it seemed like at least. It was quite disappointing, in my opinion. Like corayfor mentions above, the Scorpion VS Moloch fight. How is that fair at all? Scorpion is a pretty popular character and Moloch is known for being bashed alot on here, so it was a VERY uneven fight.

I would love to see fights like Scorpion VS Sub-Zero, Kitana VS Mileena, Havik VS Hotaru, Moloch VS Drahmin, Quan Chi VS Shang Tsung, Sonya VS Kano and so on from the very start, because it would be alot more fair and it would make alot more sense!

That is probably my one and only real disappointment about this poll. I have a few smaller complaints, but there's not much to do about those things. Things like the overtime. The mods had some problems, so they couldn't stop the poll at the right time which is understandable. However, it is a bit bitter to think that if the poll had stopped at the right time, Jade would have won over Cage. But oh well, que sera sera. :P

Yeah, that's really my only gripe, too.

I still want an all-female tournament, though.

Thank you for the advice, but, to be honest, I really don't have much else to do. My terrible allergies have kept me inside most of the summer, I have no where to go, and even if I did, no means of transportation to said places. I live too far away from everything.

This advice is good for people that you actually know, but to me, it was actually a bit offensive, even though I'm perfectly aware of the fact that it wasn't supposed to be. I've had a lot of people tell me to stop spending a lot of time on the internet in my life- and perhaps if I had listened three years ago I wouldn't be how I am today. But honestly, I doubt it would have helped much.

Without the internet and the friends I've made ON the internet, I don't think I'd be here now.

So, thank you, though, for caring. :) I wish I knew what caused my depression but I have no idea! I guess it's just the whole 'chemical imbalance' thing. Stupid, but, at least it's under control now.

Agreed. I understand that it was done to make the tournament less predictable but it just turned out predictable.

Those are coincidentally possibly the "coolest" colors out of the male palette-swap "ninja" colors available. Subconscious? Yet still it could've been a lot more predictable and I'm glad it wasn't. Just an observation.
I just didn't like Raiden that much in the last two games but I liked Noob Saibot though, so I'll vote for him. Both of them have intriguing gameplay.

I was pulling for Raiden to get the bronze, but I'm cool with the three ninjas. If that's who the majority wanted, then so be it.

1. I'm from MS, just moved to IL so I don,t know hardly anyone (TRUSTWORTHY)
2. I chose to stay home to keep outta trouble especially since I'm battling a court charge.
3. My girlfriend (YES I HAVE ONE) works so I sit at home with her mom, who is battling cancer(2nd time).
4. I too work but when I find the better job I go for it. I been here for four months and I start my fourth job next friday. It pays good so I plan to stick around, unless I find a job with even better pay
5. I have a life indeed. We go out. Got a wedding to attend this weekend. We just got back from Chilli's restaurant (delicious)

Oh I like him too! I just had to pick someone and I was really pulling for Sareena in the second round. Just my opinion though, and I figure that I'm probably in the minority on it.

I guess that's kind of what I meant by 'you really have to know a person'. Sorry you're going through all that, though, seems pretty tough. Smoke tbh. He went from having absolutely no characterization at all to you know...existing properly. I'd put Ermac at a very close second though.

Wow, Sub-Zero barely scraped by, what a crazy grand final! :) Can't say I'm not upset that Ermac didn't win but I should have been prepared for this :P Oh well! Fun tournament.

Glad to see Sub-Zero win, despite many haters. Fun tourney hats off to Ermac didn't think i would see him in the final. I hope someone comes up with more gamesl ike these for us to take part in, it was very fun.
