1994 mini-series from Malibu Comics. A short-sleeved, short-lived Lin Kuei water manipulator who was pretty swiftly killed by Scorpion in issue #4 of Mortal Kombat: Blood & Thunder. He lost to Johnny Cage during the tournament in issue #2, which preceded wild deviations. The new game padded "MK1" with existing characters, Malibu used a bunch of crappy made-up cannon fodder.
And then he was turn into a cyborg in the web series.
No one talks about all the other Malibu characters like Siang. A character that's two Shaolin monk brothers combining themselves into one warrior. That would be something nifty to see in future games.
But for some weird reason, a lot of fans would rather see another character wielding an ability that is already possessed. I don't have an issue with it, but, do we really need another water-based character?

Why stop at just hydro? Why not have the next Mk be all blue ninjas? People like blue and they like ninjas. We can just put every blue ninja down as a sub zero clone and have 30 sub zeros and 10 hydros. Throw some sub zero cyborgs in there for good measure.
...
Im glad some of you have no say in nrs decisions.

Isn't that kind of like Hsien-Ko and Mei-Ling in Darkstalkers?
I mean, they don't actually merge, but they do fight as one entity, Hsien-Ko being the body and Mei-Ling being the power.
That would be kind of interesting to see in a MK game, those two brothers. Someone tweet this to Boon!

Looks like Sub-Zero on a really hot day.

It was his unofficial debut in MK1 that led to his official debut in UMK3.
That wasn't an unofficial debut though. You could say Blaze's retconed MKII appearance was an unofficial debut. Or more Quan Chi's debut in Defenders of the Realm was his unofficial debut before his appearance else where but again it's not really up for interpretation. It was his unofficial debut in MK1 that led to his official debut in UMK3.

Is there a reason this argument is continuing? You guys are all literally talking in circles.

More importantly Ermac is suddenly in the lead.

OK. Works for me. Sorry if I sounded accusatory,
Also, uh.. yeah... um... how did that even happen? I um.
That shouldn't happen. Ever. I just I don't understand, this REALLY shouldn't be happening.

Wth? Where did those votes come from? Out of the blue.lol.
Seriously I like Ermac I really do, but it's gonna be a HUGE upset if he wins. I only saw a few people capable of winning this thing and that was Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Noob Saibot, Sonya Blade, Raiden, or Smoke and that's about it. Never in a million years would I think Ermac of all people would be standing here giving Sub-Zero a run for his money.
Nothing against Ermac really, it just wouldn't seem right.

Yeah... it would be so weird.
Ermac is my favorite and I personally object to this. It makes no sense. I don't understand. It's beyond the plane of my comprehension.
I don't get it.
I honestly was shocked when Ermac made it past round two. This is crazy.

I would prefer if Ermac won.
I fear that Subbie fans would live high on him winning. We wouldn't hear the end of it. It would be good for them to learn some humiliation.

Going for the upset... I've been a fan of Ermac's for years. Never been a Sub-Zero fan unless we're talking verses another franchise or something like that.
I'm pretty satisfied with Ermac's treatment over the last 6yrs or so too. Whereas I was really put off by cyber Sub-Zero, and kind of disappointed that they didn't do something different with Sub-Zero's look. I like his look because it's a solid look but, it's basically been the same general thing since MKDA. I've enjoyed his gameplay stuff though, I'll give on that.

I can see that now. Dear God. We really wouldn't hear the end of it at all.

Not really. Everybody was expecting Sub-zero to win, so if Ermac actually wins then we'd never hear the end of it. Subbie fans will be cheering if he wins, but it would be just as bad if he loses.
I voted Sub-Zero, which means I've voted against Ermac every round of this tournament. And I actually like Ermac, but all of his match ups have been against my favorite characters. So go Subbie, revenge my other favs Also, how long does this match stay up?

It would just be WEIRD.
Sub-Zero's the poster boy and Ermac hasn't ever really been in the spotlight- at least not as much as Sub-Zero has. I just... it would be odd.
