Shao Kahn is(well...was) to outworld as Raiden is to Earthrealm. He has some serious power, plus the additional power given to him by the One Being. I can understand why Ermac was under such manipulation by Kahn. He was one of Kahn's enforcers, unlike smoke who Kahn simply looked upon as a war trophy....yea a trophy...

The way Sindel whooped smoke and the others was like how Ermac did in his MKD ending. I think this guy deserves a little more respect than smokski...

Ermac, Smoke, Sindel and all the others... They are fictional characters. They are animated 3D objects in a game playing out a story written by a writer. They don't deserve any respect. If anyone deserves respect, it is the writer who wrote the story and the 3D artists/animators who made it happen.

The characters in Mortal Kombat aren't real people and they don't deserve anything. Saying one character deserves more respect than another character is a very untrue statement. Give credits to the ones who made them and show those people respect instead, because they are the ones who deserve it.

Let's not forget that there's no way Sindel would have been able to do that if she didn't have Shang Tsung's power as well as her own. Ermac was able to take the heroes down easily in his MKD ending, but now, let's not forget they were under Onaga (or... whoever gfhjdgsj)'s control at this point. They probably had a decrease in abilities.

No, Smoke doesn't "become" automated. He "became" automated in the old timeline. Wether or not if he should become automated in a future game of the new timeline is unknown.

Immortality does not equal a superiour character, as we have seen time and time again in the canon storyline. Shao Kahn has died. Shinnok has been beaten by Raiden, a god, and Liu Kang, a mortal. Ermac had his ass given to him numerous times throughout the Story Mode. Too bad, because Ermac is indeed awesome and out of the enemy henchmen who are encountered throughout Story Mode, I find him to be one of the coolest.

Ermac is about more than power, immortality and telekinesis. Just like Smoke is more than his powers and his past self of another timeline in which he becomes automated.

And one last thing. If you are going to call Ermac "they", then at least do so properly. Then it is:

"Ermac DO not die. They DO not become machine."

Or call him in a singular manner:

"Ermac DOES not die. HE DOES not become machine."

Proper grammar. Yes, I am a grammar nazi and I will make use of it when someone is trying to undermine my opinion with lowly comments and statements. ^^

With all things said, I do not wish to fight over opinions. If you like Ermac better than Smoke, then that is your opinion and I respect that. But don't try and undermine my opinion by trying to "prove" that Ermac is better, just because I do not agree with you. I acknowledge what Ermac is and I think he is quite an awesome character... but don't play such games with me.

On a completely other note, as I am writing this, the score says 50/50. I do think these last battles are kinda cool as it shows how much love these characters get and that it is close to equal. To me, whoever wins this vote-off, I find it a victory. Just because I didn't vote for Ermac doesn't mean I do not want him to win. I just favour Smoke over Ermac, but I still love them both and would be glad to see either of them win. ^^

A decrease in abilities? No that doesn't make sense. When Quan Chi enslaved the others in MK9 I would have defeated them on the first try if they had a decrease in abilities, but they didn't. They kicked me into the 9th plane of the Neatherrealm plenty of times until I lucked up and won.

Okay, okay kudos to the writers of MK to whom I "RESPECT" for fleshing out Error Macro 5 into an interesting character, to whom I admire more than smoke. Also, I lost some "RESPECT" for the writers, to whom messed up the story in so many ways - pissing of countless numbers of fans, such as me, who have been following the story since 1992(MK1).

That Sindel went and killed all those heroes is something I have no beef with. I think it was an interesting move. However, the very fight scene lacked that OOMPH, if you know what I mean. I would have liked to see some really epic fighting going on, throwing around with special abilities and what not. The scene itself just seemed like NRS wanted to get it over with. It was lazy executed.
