I wonder how come some matches have the polls stagnant as if everyone voted and we just get to watch it stay the same and others have this back and forth?
Are people busy on the interesting poll days lol.
Smoke and his herbal essence hair is winning I see.

@Mintpuff Bi-Han is similar to Kui Liang and also different. He is the Sub zero that chose the other path. He also has his own game that describes his character and what eventually lead to his demise and how he became Noob due to his tainted heart. This game, MK:Mythologies, kind of hinted that he was Noob Saibot.

I like Kuai Liang like five thousand times better and I can't compare him much to his brother at all except on the terms that they kind of looked the same and were part cyromancer. That's... really it. They're totally different to me. He'd be OK if he was still Sub-Zero, but he isn't. If he remained human, well, he might not have succumbed to the tainted and evil part of his being until later. Hm. That would have been interesting.
Kuai is just better in my opinion and I don't think Noob can even hold a torch to his younger brother.
But what you said makes sense. People will look at Noob for what he was more than what he became, and that's a lovely way to look at it. :)

I love you now Mintpuff. Anyone who likes Kuai Liang over Bi Han is good in my book. There are sooo many people with a hard on for Bi Han that it's ridiculous and I can definitely see why you would say "Why does everyone like Bi Han so much? Because it definitely does seem that way sometimes.

I love you too. C:
I just don't understand Noob's appeal. I admit, he was moderately cool at the start when he was Sub-Zero, in Mythologies, and at the start of MK9 (but then he said "You will feel death's cold embrace" and I was like "I'M DONE WITH YOU BI-HAN." Why did Kuai and Bi-Han get awful lines?), but he just.. slowly stopped being entertaining. I was actually entertained by him only when he was thrown into the Soulnado. :D
I don't hate any of the MK cast but I come pretty close with Noob. He just grates on my nerves.
@Mintpuff and Scar_Subby can you both elaborate on why you dislike Bi-Han because I don't quite understand?
I guess I like the guy because of his warrior status and loyalty. He was one of the Lin Kuei' Grandmaster's most trusted men, unlike his son. He did what needed to be done without question. He began a rivalry with Shinnock and his brotherhood of shadow foiling their plans to invade Earth(and other realms at that).
I even like him after death because he is so strong enough that not even Shinnock's Amulet can completely control Bi-Han. "It suits my purpose." this is what he told his younger brother after being questioned about his state of being after death. Bi-Han is fed up with serving master after master. It is time for him to become the master. This has also been hinted in the earlier MK games
I dunno I just like how mysterious this guy is. I can't wait to see what he and Havik are up to. I hope it's more than just controlling the Neatherrealm...

Oh I don't dislike Bi Han. I just like him better as Noob Saibot. My beef is when people state he's the original and better Sub-Zero. That's the only thing I disagree with. I love Bi-Han as a character, I just feel he fits as Noob Saibot better.

If Smoke holds out & wins against Ermac, he has the best shot to win the title of Supreme Mortal Kombat Champion out of everyone I believe. Sub-Zero will most likely be his biggest threat.

I really just don't like him.
He comes off as an ass to me and his personality is a bit static in my opinion. There's too many 'let's take over one of the realms lol!' characters in the game, and I'd like Noob better if he wasn't one of them. He also doesn't have a lot of character depth and is just that one shadow guy, from my perspective.
I liked Bi-Han better when he was Sub-Zero, I think I said that earlier. I just don't like Noob. I don't like his abilities, his motive, his personality... I just don't like it.
He's better when actively trying to set out and do his own thing than being just another grunt character like Reptile, Kintaro, etc. Through MKT and MK4 he was just on the sidelines, working for his bosses...then MKDA comes along, he mortally wounds Goro, and starts formulating plans. Reprograms Smoke and gets his own clan off the ground before being taken down by Sub and Taven in MKA.
That's the thing about Noob; the ranks are full of schemers who never get anywhere, but this is a guy that's done more for himself than even Shang Tsung. He's straight-up dangerous. Off the top of my head, only Sektor and Milleena (through impersonating Kitana) have ever really risen through the ranks to attain that kind of power. You combine that with his backstory as Bi-Han through Mythologies and it all boils down to one hell of a character. But he's Noob Saibot first, Bi-Han second. Kuai Liang's really and truly held the mantle of Sub since MKII. I have no idea how anyone could prefer him as Sub.

This match is incredible. These two have been barely more than 2% apart the entire time. Neck-and-neck!
On the same line it says to post, there's a button that says "Add Original." Also, please don't double post, use the edit button on the side of your original posts to include new, immediate messages.

I voted Ermac. He's my favorite of them all and I hope he wins!
Smoke's pretty cool, but I think Ermac is more awesome. I was also baffled when I saw they both had exactly %50 yesterday. Now that I see it shifted to Smoke's favor, I am shocked.
Oh well, guess we'll have to wait and see. Go Ermac! <3

I now refuse to vote for any ninja. I think that they're good, but so overrated. There is nothing making them better for robing themselves in different colored cloth and wearing motorbike spokes over your mouth. So I don't vote at all this round. Screw all ninja. I see nothing different in them. So I want Raiden to beat Sub-Zero, Ermac and Smoke to be just gone, and ESPECIALLY want Kung Lao to defeat Noob. But this won't happen, because the ninja get all the fan votes and no power votes. Wanted Kitana to win the last one, actually.

Eh, to each, his own. A lot of people like the ninja characters and a lot of people see very real differences between them. I mean, it's not like they're all part of their own ninja clans or anything like that.
They began as palette swaps due to memory constraints and now they all have their own stories and backgrounds to go with their increasingly unique looks.
What I tend to wonder is this:
If NRS didn't have the memory constraints back in the day, would Reptile have always been the green ninja, would Ermac have been the Red Ninja? Rain the Purple Ninja?
I can see why Noob would've been the black ninja since you could possibly assume that it's his netherealm, Brotherhood of Shadow version of his Lin Kuei uniform, and it makes sense for Smoke and Sub-Zero to have Lin Kuei outfits, but these other three?
Perhaps you could argue that Reptile was wearing a disguise, but even then...

Well, the way I see it, Reptile is no longer even a ninja. He's a lizard man. In DA forward, I see not how he can still be called ninja. The only resembelence to ninja he has left is the Klassic costume. On that note, Ermac is now less ninja and more of a sorcerer, he's Shang Tsung + kenshi with a long lether strip over his face. And I do agree, each is very different. legoslayer10 Wrote:

I also believe that if Rain hadn't been ninja, he would have a VERY regal look, not just purple Reptile clothing. A crown and everything. But I don't see how Rain could have been Lin Kuei, as he was an Edenian traitor prince. But apparently, he was Lin Kuei, and I do understand his "ninja" status, even though Lin Kuei isn't ninja according to Bi-Han, the less popular Sub-Zero, in Mythologies. But it could be so different.
So, in conclusion, Noob, Smoke, Sub-Zero, Ermac, Rain, and Reptile aren't ninja to me, and plenty of people in MK would've been plenty different without memory constraint.
A side note, with how big he is, how is the Great Kung Lao never in video games? He's mentioned but rarely shown.
