Reiko is wicked i hope hes in mk 10 , but shao kahn is the man.

I voted Reiko. There's just something so irresistable about him. Like if he was real, he'd probably smash my skull in with a hammer, but at least he'd look good doing it.

Plus he does have a nice ass.

Shao Kahn is much more Iconic and important to the MK Universe but I'm voting for Reiko based on how much fun I had with him in MKA, hes probably the most enjoyable character to play as and I hope he returns.

Reiko.

I am weary of Shao Kahn. While he IS THE BOSS OF MORTAL KOMBAT, I think he was overused in the last years. His death in MKDA was a perfect and epic sendoff for the character and his return in MKD was half-assed. In MK9 he was remade into brutal warlord, without much of intelligence. One of the few things that always made Shao Kahn stand out from the crowd of brutal and evil warlords is that he was portrayed as not only super strong, but also as very smart and creative mastermind. In MK9 he is just brutal warlord with hammer.

Reiko, on the other hand, is very underused, however, practically in each his appearance it was hinted that there is more to him, than meets the eye. Who is he? Why he hates Quan Chi? What is his connection with Sareena (if any)? Is he Shao Kahn's son or just a creepy stalker? Anyway, he comes as brutal and meanwhile intelligent and well-manered villain. A rare treat in MK.

So, overal I vote for Reiko. I am tired of Shao Kahn and I really hope that Reiko will be given siginificant role in the next game.

Shao Kahn, although Iconic and and an epic villain, has never been a huge favourite of mine.

Ive had some interest in Reiko since MK4 since it was hinted at that he had some sort of connection with Sareena. Something I really wish they would develop....but then again, Reiko needs developed just generally in all areas. he got a good new look in MKA though.

So am gonna go with Reiko.

I must say thought, I though Shao Kahn was gonna walk this one like 80%+.

Had Sindel not have died, and reverted back to her good self, I would have wanted her to become an Elder God, with Kitana taking her place as queen.

I think that suits Sindel perfectly.

Why would Sindel ever be chosen to become an Elder God? She hasn't done anything to deserve it.

i voted for reiko. i loved playing him in mk4 but felt his mka was lacking. his look is better in mka but in mk4 he played better. his look is cool and he could possibly take kahns title of empereor of outworld.

Not all who vote post in this thread what they voted for.
Or maybe the competition is so rigged that the mods make sure the ones they want to win will get more votes.
OR people are actually making extra users just to vote on their chosen characters.

Still, the possibilities are there, and while she could definitely be overshadowed by other characters, it doesn't mean that her role is definitely going to be worse than someone else. You never know what they might think of. If you ask me, Kitana is a terrible ruler of Edenia and has much less purpose in the series than Sindel, and Kahn is the tired villain who needs to be replaced in a series that has never had a main female villain.
