Okay, but Noob in the Chaosrealm? That was main plot, so why ignore it? Or Shujinko becoming Lin Kuei, why did they not hunt him for automation? Even how Seidan Guard did not recognize him in Seido when he had previously defeated various guards inthe Chaosrealm. While the game is canon, much is unexplained.

Yeah, and let's not even talk about Kenshi's training. It's said in MKDA Kenshi saved Ermac from Shao Kahn and in return Kenshi was learned telekinesy by Ermac. But it happened after MK3 and Kenshi trains Shujinko before the 1st tournament even happens. And to conclude with the biggest mistake of the konquest: Shujinko gets arrested in outworld for a crap ordinance and they age him for the last time, which means if this part of the storyline was canon, MKDA would have lasted 20 years as well.

Ermac got the "First Hit" apparently when Shang Tsung's face is bleeding.
P.S. It's funny how the situation is already 60-40 for Shang Tsung when the voting began only moments ago (five to fifteen minutes?) and there are just eight users online.

Shang Tsung is cool, but ever Since Deception, Ermac became the awesome awesome man.

And his UMK3 fatality is still my favorite fatality of the entire series.

Tsung might be a Veteran compared to Ermac and he might be our beloved Sorcerer............... but Ermac is just too bad ass of a character.

I haven't enjoyed playing as Tsung since MK2 anyway.

Shang Tsung, and it's not even close to me. Ermac's been cool for two games now (MK:D and MK2011). Shang Tsung has been freakin awesome since the very beginning (minus his diaper of doom in MK3).

Not only was he the boss in the first game, not only was he then playable in the second and third game, but he's another one of those "straw that stirs the plot drink" characters. He created Mileena and Ermac, he teamed up with Quan Chi and killed Liu Kang and Shao Khan (even if both deaths were undone), and his ending in the most recent MK where he basically becomes the chosen one is, to me, the coolest ending in that game.

I could list about 20 more reasons why he's awesome, but I'll just leave it at that. He's one of the few characters where the idea of "classic" holds any meaning for me. He's my favorite MK villain, and one of the best designed characters in this series, bar none.

Again, Ermac's looked cool in the last few games and I like his powers, but Shang Tsung, in the hands of a skilled gamer, is just as fun to play as, probably harder to play against, and just as cool (to me at least).

I wanted to vote for ermac at first but then had a change of heart.The twists and turns in shang tsungz story and the fact that he always survives no matter what plus the shape shifting powers specially in the sega days when you could just choose from sub zero to liu kang to noob to scorpion just awesome.

I went with Shang for this one. As much as I like Ermac, Shang has been my favorite character since I first started playing MK.

When I look for revelance and importance in a character I look for what they have done in the series.

I have yet to see Ermac pull off a certain feat at all. Exactly why I'm voting for Shang. Shang has killed Liu Kang and Shao Kahn. He has made up the deadly alliance.

He has awoken the Dragon Kings army.

Ermac has abilities of ten mighty warriors, whilst yet Shang Tsung can morph into unending varieties of characters. But Shang Tsung has no real prior knewledge of the character's abiltiy, so thaat's why I voted Error Macro.

Ermac > Shang Tsung.
I dislike Shang Tsung since MK3.
Ermac has a better storyline. He's more intruiging and more interesting than Shang Tsung.

Shang Tsung because he is a great character. Quan chi may have stolen Shang's spotlight, but Shang is still awesome.
