Yeah, it doesn't take a lot of time.

I took me only a couple of days to complete everything, I started the moment it was announced, though.

And STILL, my character ended up being no. 52.

Mine took about twenty minutes, but I'm an incredibly swift writer.

Than awful fanfiction I just finished was over 2400 words but actually only took me about two hours off and on. I don't think when I write, just let it come out. Which can come out awesome or....strange.

Mine took about an hour to write up, then I sent it in. Can't draw to save my life, so you'll have to picture the description in your heads I'm afraid, haha.

I wish I could draw well enough, but unfortunately not worth a damn. It would be cool if I could find someone else with enough talent to draw her, but also unlikely as she'd probably be Ao rated visually.

I'd enter a Kharacter myself but I am the most un-creative person you can imagine. Plus I allready posted my character in the Created Character Archives in the Fan Submission section.

I wonder how many 'ninja' style characters they'll be?!

We'll start getting obscure and silly colors of ninjas, hehe.

"This is the violet ninja" ... "He's purple" .... "No, he's VIOLET." .... "What's his name?" .... "Drizzle"

"...He wears a typical ninja suit, but he is anything but typical. His clothes are cream colored, like coffee with lots of creamer, or a slightly under baked cupcake. His name is Taupe."

"Here's my character, a ninja dressed in ochre ." .... "What?" .... "Ochre." .... "I know, but what?" .... "It's kind of between poo and vomit."

"All the other colors were taken, so my ninja's clothes are clear." .... "Oh yeah?" ... "Yeah." .... "Well, alright then."

I don't really care about different ninjas in general, I just hope that most people wouldn't just spam with different elemental characters. This is my character of ice, that is your character of fire, there's a character of stone.. Etc. It's like, the most common and annoying cliche in these kind of contests.

I really have faith in this tournament, though. A lot of interesting sounding characters and creators.

(most of the elemental asswipes would propably end up being plagiations of original MK ninjas and such anyways..)

What I actually meant is that I don't mind elemental characters as long as they're unconventional. Not just a blunt FIRE ninja who can throw FIREBALLS and burst FIRE out of the ground and use FIRE to burn his opponents as a fatality.

You know what I mean. But no one has an obligation to listen to me. These are just opinions.

I agree to an extent. I think it'd be much more interesting to see a character who uses an underrepresented element... Water for example, is almost totally abandoned in most gaming genres, replaced with ice. It'd be nice to see someone with plant based abilities, or the manipulation of actual light(none of that holiness shit....), which could create illusions etc.... My character could be considered elemental, symbolically speaking.

Or perhaps a character who wields all of te elements, but those of a different culture's list of elements. Earth, Air, Water, and Fire aren't exactly universal.

I think the Last Airbender Aang, already has those abilities...

To be honest. I think anything elemental has been used to the point of exhaustion.

I feel that "many" entries are going to be very similar to one another also.


It's a very hard thing to keep away from certain things like the elements. But I can't wait to see everyones character none the less!!

@IndyRI: From what I've read, Earth/Air/Fire/Water are pretty much universal... Other cultures include more elements, but most have those four included somewhere. Air is at times switched out, but can be simply put in with Aether, which is likely the reason that air is not included. Variations I've seen are wood and metal, with metal easily being categorized as Earth, and so it is unnecessary... I can't think of a culture that does not include Earth and Water in some form, and I've read up quite a bit on the subject... Still, could always be one I'm missing.

Even if they are overdone, I still love elemental characters outside of fire, ice, and lightning(which are probably the most common in video games)... Water characters in particular are never fully developed in any video game. Rain had water powers, but he didn't make good use of them at all.

Yes, it is.

Nearly everyone has anyway. I have sent in about 3 different pics and only 1 re-edit of my character form.

I can only imagine Crow sitting in front of his email account with his head in his hands while the email inbox rises beyond control hahaha
