I wonder if there are any character favorites in the tournament amongst the judges...Also I would like to know what specific critieria are the judges using to rate the characters competiting? An interesting back story? Unique Specialty moves? The degree of relation into the MK storyline? The level of how character's gameplay would translate to the video game's gameplay via tournament video gamers? Effective Combos? Viability of character in the MK Series? Fan's interest in the character? What do they mean by fitting in to the Mortal Kombat Universe?

It's a combination of everything. In theory, the complete package character should win this. Obviously judges will be "tilted" by different aspects, depending on what's important to them personally. For instance, I favor storyline, so therefore a well thought out character will have a better chance at securing my vote. Even if a character is awesome from a gameplay standpoint, my interest in them wanes if they have a rudimentary story. That's the way I approach the actual MK characters themselves.

Just out of curiosity, how in depth has everyone gone with their descriptions of their characters fighting style? I found it pretty hard to articulate exactly how I see her moving and playing.
I'm just worried everyones gonna have gone into extreme detail about movesets and I've just got the one paragraph.

Can't wait for this to actually get started though. It's gonna be good :)
