Drawing a long bow in battle! Nightwolf was once a trusted shaman who communed with the gods, but when he used his powers to sacrifice himself in an effort to stop the resurrected Queen Sindel - he too became a pawn in the afterlife! Kung Jin once turned his back on a Shaolin heritage, choosing the trials of the streets and a life of petty crime over the judgment of his family. Reunited with destiny by Raiden, he is restored as the White Lotus' next generation of Earthrealm defender! Now Kung Jin hopes to bring Kung Lao back from the darkside. Will he have to go through revenant Nightwolf to do it? It's Shaolin archer versus spirit bowman! Who's next?... FIGHT!
Personality: Nightwolf.
Design: Kung Jin.
Finishers: Kung Jin.
Backstory: Kung Jin, as Nightwolf doesn't really have one.
In a fight: Nightwolf, easily.
The Shaolin marksman wins against the Indian stereotype 4-2.
It's either Chameleon or Shao Kahn next, and there's only room for one.
Unless it's Mokap or something.
STATE FED LIES CHARM EMPTY EYES. Anon.
While I didn't dislike Kung Jin, his pissy attitude throughout the entire MKX storyline really rubbed me the wrong way. Plus, Nightwolf is underrated and needs to have his character expanded.
I was originally going to put the two against each other in one of my upcoming fakes, but hen decided to do MK vs DC...
It's still a work in progress.
Nightwolf was badass in MK9 and I really like him but he was part of the background in MKX. Kung Jin is the real deal and brought a lot of new ideas into the game. His archer moves are awesome and his backstory conflict is really interesting. He's a good guy who hasn't always done good things. All the elements really bring a different aspect to the Shaolin Monks side of MK. I like it all and I think he's one of the best new characters. Maybe when the next game is coming I'll get more excited about Nightwolf's potential again. 2016 is still all about MKX and that's what matters right now. Kung Jin wins.
I think Sonya, Scorpion, Triborg, Reiko, Sindel and Goro got stiffed big time, but its been a really good first round this year. Lots of interesting matches and some surprising results. Erron Black in the top 16 was a big surprise! Looking forward to the final match. Lots of people it could be!

Man... Baraka...
I kinda think D'Vorah's a bit overrated, but when you're basically a background thug in almost every game because NRS doesn't know what to do with your awesome character design, well... These things happen, I guess.
Aside from Sektor and Cyrax, he was pretty much the only other vanilla MK3 character I liked back in the day.

Nightwolf is lame too. In the entire series, I disliked MK3 most. It was just too Americanized.
Who is left for facing Raiden? It's between Ashrah and Nitara? Or Shao Kahn? I doubt there is room or Kira, Kobra, Dairou or Darrius, though they should have been in instead of Tasia. Heck, even Monster from Deception should have been in instead of Tasia
Just saying.
FB: Trans4Materia Card Game I invented "Circling Vulture, Laughing Hyena"
True story, it happened to a friend of a friend of mine... EVERYBODY!
This was a close one too, for me. I voted OG...
Ka-Tra
Lui Kang/Kung Lao rip off
Yeah, I can't believe they gave him Liu Kang's archery moves and Kung Lao's bo staff SMH
The only new characters I liked from MKX were Kotal and Cassie. The rest were awful. Especially the Lui Kang/Kung Lao rip off that is Kung Jin (stupid name as well).
Nightwolf is old school. Going with him.
I've heard this complaint about Kung Jin's name before...is it, like, improper Chinese or something?
Going with him, btw. I'm cool with his douchey attitude. Both him and Nightwolf are okay, though.
People are actually voting MK's biggest stereotype, Nightwolf, HUGE over Kung Jin? Y'all are nuts.
Kinda like how Fujin, who has done nothing for 19 years, won against Goro somehow.
What the fuck. If he was playable in MKX (which he isn't going to be) then he would get barely any votes.
