i'm still trying to wrap my head around this, but it's just not working. Why did midway need to get everyone to jump BACK on the midway bandwagon. damn near every mortal kombat made in the last 10 years has been at least a million seller. what' wrong with rewarding the people who have been loyal with the rebirth that was promised us. this smells more like after-birth if i'm not mistaken.

but....i'll give the trailer and screenshots, i'll read everyone praise (or bash) the gameplay and graphics....but in seven months...will i buy it? for the first time in a while i say....maybe not.

If you are a true MK fan then you know damn fucking well this isn't Mortal Kombat here.This is stupid.I don't mind a versus game but not this and not like this either.Some people are just to nieve and will buy into most stuff just cause its mk.Sure i did at one point but now its just not what mk is and used to be.I'm leaving cause I feel they really screwed it up and you just can not have the feel to MK now that u may have had in the past.For those who are giving it a chance great,but ask yourselves.Is this really what I wanted?

i have no problem with a crossover. but i just dont think DC mixes well with Mortal Kombat.

had it been Image comics i d be much more enthusiastic.


but, if i can play as Bane or Azrael, i may learn to love this game.

Why should we think there will be another traditional MK after this? Boon's an idiot and if this game even rakes in a lil dough, he'll think it's golden and they'll start making a sequal. If this idea flies, we may never see another traditional MK again. It's obvious as daylight to me that they just must not have the balls to reinvent MK from scratch. Maybe because MKA was so shitty and they're ashamed. It just screams desperation to me, not creativity.

Have any of you people actually read a DC comic? Read "Dark Knight Returns" then tell me Batman doesn't "fit" in Mortal Kombat.


But that aside....I still think this is a cheeseball idea. I would've preferred MK's brand new generation game to be a Mortal Kombat game.

My first response to this was: WTF! This has gotta be another joke on Boon's part.

Then I got to thinking....it can't be more worse than some other MK games. *cough*special forces*cough*

But then I thought some more...DC + Warner Bro = Big Funds + DC Fan Base...If nothing else its a good experiment. With Midways experience behind it this might be one of the few decent DC based games. They need all the help they need to catch up to Marvel....

Anyways, I have a BIG question...how the hell are we suppose to get fair fights out of this or are they gonna stick to the non-super superheroes? I don't see how Sonya or Johnny would have a chance against the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman. Batman I can believe, take away his belt he's a great fighter but nothing over the top special (I was a Bats fan before it was in style, because of this). So are we sticking with the likes of Green Arrow, Catwoman, the Huntress, etc? Or is MK getting some more over the top characters aside from our stand-by deities, demons and other immortals? Will Superman (for example) be weakened somehow in the same way as say Raiden is? (Easy way of doing this, if have everything take place in a Realm with no yellow Sun).
